Normally we have a good experience. However the last time we went not so much.
This was my first time eating at a cracker barrel and the food wasn't good at all. I ordered the chicken tenders and 2 vegetables and my husband ordered the cat fish with 2 vegetables that was different from what I ordered. The meat tasted like the grease needed to be changed and the vegetables were over cooked. We were very disappointed!
The restaurant was busy and they were short on help, but that is to be expected these days. And our waiter tried hard, and managed to keep my coffee hot while we were waiting on our food, but... When the food arrived the only thing hot were the beignets we'd ordered as an appetizer. They arrived piping hot, with the rest of the food, which was COLD! Was not about to wait around another 35 minutes for them to prepare another meal for us so we ate it and left
