Wasn't excited about having to pay $5 just to walk threw the door. Nice little place and the roof top sitting was nice. I didn't like having to wait on the bartender to finish his drinking session before we could order our drinks.
So the prices are good, food great. However, i was there last night and just hangin out, having some fireballs, talking to fellow patrons, being civilized, all that good stuff. All of a sudden, and i do mean all of a sudden, the bartender comes up to me andgives me my tab and says he closed it out, i figured there was a shift change or something, but as im writing the tip into the bill, he says "now we are gonna have to ask you to leave, you were ashing ur cigerattes everywhere....read full review

This place is a Knoxville original. It's a historic building with an interesting history. 3 level bar with increasingly better view of the square. A great dive bar feel. A definite stop for your list.
