Rom's House Reviews
The vegan chick’n bowl was great. Get it without bread to make sure it’s fully vegan.
This was our first time trying Afgani food. It was delicious! We had the Rom bowl with beef and chicken and rice pudding. My son loved the presentation of the bread sealed bowl- he was surprised to find all of the rice and meat inside of the bread. The rice was cooked perfectly.
Amazing flavors all around. Lovely service! Highly recommend!
My husband and I ate here and have never had Afghan food before. It tasted simply amazing! The flavors and seasoning were very declious and we will definitely eat here again! The husband and wife owners are genuinely kind people and definitely made the experience more pleasurable.
Rom's House is located in a food hall in downtown Knoxville called the Marble City Market and is a must-visit for its delicious and authentic Afghan cuisine. The owner, Rom, is kind and helpful in explaining the menu. Standout dishes include Rom's Bowl with chicken and fries, and the vegetarian option featuring vegan chicken. Meals are flavorful and aromatic, with fresh ingredients and a variety of spices. Recently, customers noted that the food was fresh and amazingly good, with flavors that are simply delicious. The Rom's Bowl, which includes chicken, beef, and veggies over rice, is served with a bread baked over the bowl, creating an edible lid, and often comes with a side salad with a lovely dressing. The rice is cooked perfectly and the bread is a cross between pita and naan. Many customers, even those new to Afghan food, find the dishes familiar and enjoyable. The friendly service and the owner’s genuine kindness make the experience even better, encouraging visitors to return again and again.
