“We’re hosting some friends from Spain, and we wanted to introduce them to Nashville hot chicken before they traveled home. Due to some mixups on timing, arrived about 30 minutes before closing. Although they were setting up to close, they gladly accepted our party of 9 people. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, including chicken tenders, chicken breast & thigh, catfish sandwich, and the hot chicken bowl. While most of us got mild, a few got adventurous and ordered medium or hot. The staff even gave us a side of the hottest sauce for our guests to try. They have bottled beers and a few on tap as well. We weren’t sure what we wanted, so they let us have a taste to find the right one. All of the food was delicious, and the portion sizes were quite large. We had some leftovers for lunch the next day. Admittedly, we stayed well past their 9pm closing time, but the staff never tried to rush us out or make us feel unwelcome. Our only regret was waiting too long to order one of their ice cream bars for dessert — they had already closed out the register. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making their Nashville hot chicken experience so awesome! And I’m glad that there’s a tasty hot chicken spot near us so we don’t have to drive into Nashville.”

“Went into Angelo’s for the 1st time (won’t be my last, Lord willing) tonight with our family. What a wonderful experience. Very pleasant atmosphere and hospitality from the owners. Frank sat down and made us feel like family while taking our order. We ordered the Capri appetizer first; it was so fresh. Then for the main course my Daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo; her and my wife both said it was the best they’ve ever had. The lasagna was magnificent and what set it off was the gravy (sauce). You can tell they care about the recipes at this restaurant. A+++, I’ll bring more people next time. Thank you!”

“My husband and I have been traveling to Virginia from Oklahoma and we stopped at this gem! I’m a sucker for a good, locally roasted coffee house. The two ladies who work there are so sweet and also know the history of the owner, Chris, and his business. They let me smell and taste their Deadshot roast and the Reload (Chris’s original blend). I was offered a taste of the espresso (Reload) and even though I was warned that it may be on the sour side (which it was only very very slightly sour- a person who doesn’t know how to properly taste espresso wouldn’t be able to tell), it was a very smooth and I tasted the toffee and brown sugar tasting notes. There’s not very many times someone has offered me espresso that I’ve enjoyed, and I can honestly say I enjoyed that shot. I’m very critical when it comes to a quality cup of coffee, and that being said, Split Bean Roasting Co. will be on the top places I will be visiting again when my husband and I drive to and from Oklahoma. Great job Chris and ladies (I’m so sorry that I didn’t catch y’all’s names)! I can’t wait to brew some of your wonderfully roasted coffee when we get back to the Sooner State!”

“Went to Pops for the first time today. It’s a rainy day and they had a cup of soup with a ham and cheese croissant and coffee for 14$. The chili was very good and so was the sandwich. It’s super Cozy and charming in there too!”

Kudos to JM for training their employees well, and extra special thanks to the kind woman who served us this evening.”

“The food and smoothies are always made correctly and somewhat quickly. The only thing that makes me not give 5 stars is the attitude of the employees. I understand it can be tiring to have a peppy attitude and a smile all day (I have worked in both retail and the food industry myself), but when a mistake is made, or an employee drops the money you give them on the ground outside, (just happened to me) you would expect an apology….. At least that’s what I would do personally. Also, using common manners like saying please and thank you don’t tend to be used here, at least not when I have come. I understand this is probably not your dream job, but when you work in customer service those are just things customers expect and appreciate. I only lost a little bit of money today due to the man’s mistake, but it bothered me that he didn’t bother to apologize.”

The service is friendly, though not exactly fast — but that’s because they’re actually cooking your food fresh instead of microwaving mystery meat. The burgers are huge, juicy, and unapologetically greasy. (Pro tip: don’t wear your favorite shirt unless you like grease stains as a fashion statement.)

The fries? Fresh as can be. The spicy fries are seasoned just right — flavorful without burning your taste buds off. Honestly, one plate could feed two people, so while the prices seem high for “just a burger and fries,” you’re basically paying for double portions.

Bottom line: Fat Mo’s isn’t fancy, but it doesn’t need to be. Come hungry, come casual, and maybe bring a bib.”

“We reached out to Cool Beans and reserved their mobile coffee bar for my bridal shower. Needless to say it was a SMASH hit! Not only were they incredibly attentive and efficient, they also had some of the most delicious coffee I’ve tasted. They have a very wide selection and can craft you practically anything. The guests at my shower didn’t even have to get up as one of the owners came around to tables taking orders and making sure everyone who wanted a drink got one. I ran into the owners again at an event in Lebanon a few weeks after and was immediately treated like an old friend. It’s a full package deal with this business and you won’t be disappointed!”

“I've had their nachos a long time ago before the name changed and they were really good. I just went this past Sunday and again yesterday. I had the brisket loaded fries, and then the brisket quesadillas with a side of greens. EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING was so delicious!!! So was the peach cobbler and banana pudding. 10/10 for the win!!! The staff was very nice as well and oh yeah can't forget the smoked lemon pepper wings as well!!! There brisket is so tender and delicious! I bout lost my mind.”
