“We love our Sapporo family. It was our 15th anniversary today and we chose them for an impromptu lunch: always the best service and consideration for their patrons. Thank you so much Sapporo Rivergate“

“A nice place, very quiet, it gave me anti-social vibes because everyone was so quiet. This was actually great which created a calm setting.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, but not exactly tailored to children.

“Just got into town and was looking for some food. There is another Sushi place across the street but ended up in this one based on the reviews I googled. Ordered the Chirasi bowl and it looked a bit different from what I was used to and different from the picture that is here on this page. Meal also came with Miso soup which was delicious, thick and flavorful and I had a Sapporo to go with. The way the sushi was sliced on the bowl was odd to me but it tasted fine and there was some light sauce on it. What knocked it down for me was the fake crab meat pieces as I'd prefer real crab. Otherwise fast and friendly service.“

“Excellent Sushi, wonderful service. Fresh, they don't try to rush like some places would but don't keep you waiting when you do decide what you want. Also, the best tasting authentic japanese soy sauc“

“O-Ku is my absolute favorite restaurant EVER! I take all my friends and family and it’s the best spot for a romantic date! The food is always so delicious and beautifully presented. The whole atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is the best service I’ve ever had. Everyone is so nice, helpful, and genuinely friendly. My favorite servers all work here and I’m not the only regular who would say the same. I love you O-Ku Nashville! Shout out to some great servers I’ve had and highly recommend: Leah (the cool environmental enthusiast), Chance (the jokester with the biggest smile), and Ally (the crafty gal with the coolest handmade earrings and the sweetest heart). Food recommendations: PLEASE try the omokase. It is a 6 course tasting meal that is different every time you come in. I’ve had the best dishes from this meal and the nigiri are always so delicious. But honestly, I recommend anything and EVERYTHING. To start- king pao Cauliflower. Hot dish- get the Tokyo chicken bowl. Sashimi- the usuzukari or hamachi carpachio. From the robata grill- kamo negi (duck breast). A sushi roll- the playboy. Also the have O-toro, Uni, and so many specialty fishes like kin medai and shima aji!!!!“

“Heard mixed reviews so I decided to try for myself. The chef is from Korean so decided to try some Korean items. I had the Korean fried chicken wings and the veggie bibimbop. The wings were nice and crispy as you would expect from Korean fried chicken.the sauce was both sweet and spicy.
The Bibimbop had a bed of steamed rice pockets of veggies, topped with a fried egg.
There are things I would have done differently but overall a very solid dish. The seaweed salad is cold and unexpected in the dish.“

“Love this sushi/hibachi place! The environment is a 10/10 due to the music and the respective videos playing on the TVs. Food comes out HOT! It’s amazing. If you’re in the Nashville/Vanderbilt area you gotta stop by! Some of the best headbanger shrimp, rice, and sushi this dude has eaten. *Went during the Spooky Season and MCR was playing.*“

“The Ahí tuna tostadas had to be my favorite dish in all of the things we tried in the hall. The bite was flavorful and a perfect bite. Wonton soup was very tasty and not bland. Crudo yellow tail was also great bite all around. Will be back to try other dishes!“

“Oh my gosh. The best sushi I’ve had in Nashville!! And the Chicken Fried Rice….I mean, it will be my go-to comfort food from now on. The Peruvian sushi with the ceviche was my fave, followed closely by the Blink 182. Go. Go now. Why are you still reading this? GO!“

“Wasn't expecting much.Poke bowl - tuna with radish, seaweed salad, carrots, avo, lettuce, sriracha sauceAbsolutely 5 starsVery polite lady took my order and sushi chef just literally made it while listening to me. She printed ticket and he handed me fresh made pokeWalked all the way to my gate, I expected mediocre and I was blown away, fish was fresh, so was all the rest in the bowl. I would order this again.Good enough to stop and order food after arriving and prior to leaving to airport.Compared to all the fried options in close proximity, this 12 dollar bowl of delicious freshness was so what I needed.“

“First trimester has me limited on food. Last night I was feeling so awful. Nothing heavy sounded good. Looked up places near us & they came up. It was 10/10 what my belly needed. The sticky rice was amazing , the miso soup was SO good. Got sushi too & didn't get a chance to eat it but excited for it today. Also, appreciate their side options. My kiddo wouldn't eat a full meal but the side option allowed us to get her something she actually would. 10/10 will eat again when in the area! Also appreciated the to go option & the wait time wasn't bad.“

“I went to sushi kingdom for the first time tonight. I normally go to sushi train on whitebridge road. i want to try something new. Big mistake my sushi rolls had no flavor. They fell apart very easily. Whoever is rolling them has no experience. I tried the hibachi steak very tough and no flavor. i Could not finish it. I had hibachi vegetables with it they were cooked very poorly. i asked him to put it on the same plate, and it was very messy and unappetizing looking. the vegetables are very soggy and overcooked. then I tried the hibachi shrimp. Another mistake four shrimp very hard and served no flavor served in a bowl. Very unappetizing looking. The only thing that was good was my sashimi. The service is very poor an unprofessional. the waitress kept mixing up differentt able's orders. The whole place looked unprofessional. It looked more like a cross between a seafood restaurant and a sports bar. Not a japanese sushi restaurant. overall, the experience is very poor and I would never recommend this to anyone, and I will never be back. the sushi train on whitebridge road has this beat a hundred percent. nicer atmosphere cleaner the staff is excellent. Rhe bathrooms are definitely cleaner. the service is fast and the food is always excellent. for all you can eat sushi, it is definitely hands down. The best in Nashville. To top it off i ordered a pot of Green tea and got jasmine tea by mistake.“
