The food and atmosphere are exceptional. The music is a little odd and distracting. It’s unreasonable to expect that all the gentlemen dining in this restaurant in Memphis will wear a jacket. It seems pretentious to request one.
If you want to have a fine dining experience, but without the intimidating atmosphere then this is the place to go. My wife and I were greeted warmly by the staff and our waitress explained the menu very well. My wife started with the corn soup and had scallops for the entree and I had the beef tar tar and the aged new York strip. The soup was great and the bites of lobster was lovely. The beef tar tar was rich but it came with baby endive that was dressed with lemon that balanced...
Amelia Gene's is one of a kind. The food is incredible. Creative, beautifully designed, and truly delicious. The staff is like no other, friendly and attentive. The ambiance is magical. So relaxing and stunningly designed. I've traveled the world and have eaten at many top Michelin-star restaurants from Japan to Peru...Amelia Gene's is truly a top contender of the best places I've ever eaten. I highly recommend it!
