Great food ! Chicken and Biscuit is great!
Ordered a New Yorker, some kind of Soup
Which who knows what was in it - it was Luke-warm , meaning it obviously wasn’t temp to proper level - some worker with a Bad attitude asked me how my lunch was ,& I told her terrible… she gets the Owner Lady and now I know where the Bad attitude came from - you have an owner that’s a 5 and expect your workers to be a ten - doesn’t work that way … flys all over the restaurant cause the front door is propped wide-open which...read full review
Great food (loved the chicken biscuit, the Gouda grits, and potatoes)! Wonderful service. Nice cozy atmosphere. Can’t wait to return to get the brisket biscuit.

By the Brewery is a charming breakfast and brunch spot in Downtown Memphis that offers a delightful dining experience. Tucked away but conveniently located by the Farmer Market, shops, and Tom Lee Park, this little spot is absolutely perfect. The classic biscuit is praised for its amazing quality—buttery, fresh, and perfectly baked—and the menu features a variety of tasty options like the Tennessee Street Biscuit (The Chicken and Biscuits) and the Brisket Biscuit, both of which are highly recommended. The Smashed Browns and Gouda Grits are also popular side dishes. The food is described as flavorful, with great portions and fresh ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and provides excellent service, making great recommendations. The inside of the restaurant is cute and bright, with plenty of outdoor seating options. While the decor may be described as "divey" and the parking can be a bit tricky, the overall experience at By the Brewery is fantastic, making it a must-try for those looking to hang out, relax, or even work a bit.
