Food was good but they only give a small amount of curtido. If you ask for more you have to pay extra. This is a cash only place so we had to go to the atm next door. You have to order at the counter and then have a seat. Also, parking is terrible. Food is good though.
Cash only, bring cash.... I didn't realize till after we had ordered and had to run home while the food was being made to grab cash.
Never had pupusas before... but man, this place is life changing. 10/10. The pork pupusa with the slaw is some of the best food I've had on Summer, and in Memphis period.
The carne asada torta is reminiscent of a burger... but like a really good burger. And honestly, should be mentioned in the competition for best burger in Memphis.

Pupuseria Anita's is a Salvadoran restaurant that offers an authentic dining experience. The menu features traditional dishes like chicharrón con queso and loroco pupusas, which are praised for their delicious flavors and quality. The curtido and salsas are also well-executed, enhancing the overall pupusa plate. While the service may not be the best, the restaurant has a family-like atmosphere that is appreciated by its loyal customers. The Salvadoran horchata and agua de jamaica are also popular beverages. Despite the limited English proficiency, the kind staff and amazing food keep customers coming back to this humble, cash-only establishment. Overall, Pupuseria Anita's is a go-to destination for those seeking a taste of Salvadoran culture and cuisine.
