I absolutely love this Cafe and cannot say enough good things about their food and the people there. The pancakes are phenomenal, the reuben is the best I have ever had, everything is delicious. 😋
Best home cooked food and pastries around. This is a hidden gem. Friendly casual atmosphere.

Based on the reviews, Ben Anna's Cafe is a cute, little, quaint cafe located on Main Street in Monterey, TN, easy to find from I40. It serves hardy fresh cooked breakfast and lunch fare. The food is not fast food, but homemade goodness with generous helpings and fresh food. Specific meals include two eggs over medium, potatoes, sausage, a side of grits, and a taco salad with cucumber, cabbage, carrot, and radish slices. Sandwiches are made on fresh homemade bread, which is nice and soft, and the potato salad has huge chunks of celery and carrot. The cafe also sells handmade items, eggs, fresh bread, and huge cinnamon rolls. The staff is super friendly and excellent, with one waitress doing a wonderful job seating the entire dining room, working all the tables, and running the register. The owner is very, very nice and knowledgeable, even willing to teach people how to make things like sourdough bread. The food can take a very long time, but it is worth it.
