Food was good and service was O.K. However, music was too loud and we couldn't have conversations at our table without having to speak up over the music and the noise. This is suppose to be a family restaurant, not a night club with loud music. Don't mind the contemporary Christian music; however, the volume was too loud to enjoy conversation with family members. Probably not go back.
Stopped here on a whim after visiting Stones River National Park. Randomly googled restaurants and started scrolling until I found one that wasn’t a chain. While looks can be deceiving from the outside- once you step inside the doors, you’re greeted with the aromas of home cookin’ and a smile! So many items to choose from! Definitely a must stop and budget friendly!
We went with a large church group on a Friday. Service was excellent. Drinks came quickly. The food bars had lots of choices. The best item was the fried fish, which was perfect. All other items I chose tasted bland-as if needing salt or more seasoning. Meatloaf was cold. Butter patties were ice cold, never to soften. Not sure if it was because the ladies’ restroom was near the kitchen, but the tile floor was so slick/greasy (not wet from water), I was afraid of slipping...read full review

Farmers Family Restaurant offers a very good buffet with delicious seafood options. The pricing is reasonable, and the waitstaff is attentive and friendly. Everything is made fresh; they do not use canned vegetables. Guests enjoy the sweet potatoes, collard greens, and fried fish, which are highly recommended. The restaurant is a refreshing place with a great family vibe and a family-friendly environment. The food offerings are too numerous to mention, with excellent salmon, shrimp, clams, fried chicken, and catfish. It is great southern cooking from crab cakes to beans, greens, and cornbread. The place is very clean, very organized, and displayed beautifully. It remains a good place to eat and a great treat, worth the drive from nearby areas for a satisfying meal.
