“We visited on a night when the AC had gone out, so it was a tad warm. But the server did a great job of working through that glitch. The cocktail menu was fun and creative. The dinner menu combines classics very simply prepared over live fire with out of the box shareables, such as the corn ribs, which are a MUST. Parking is rough, but it was all quite worth the visit.“

“We had a great time at this acclaimed restaurant, with an eclectic menu, such as the glazed pigs ears in lettuce wraps. The former residence has multiple rooms, on two levels, and our one regret is that we sat in a room with about ten tables, and the hard-scape decor meant that the noise level was just below the decibel level of bars on Broadway Stu’s neon district.“

But the star of that plate was the sauce that went with the entree. I don't know how to describe it other than reddish in color and off the charts in enhancing the flavor of the halibut. Once again, Chef Deb impresses.“

“Each time we fly through Nashville, we stopped here to eat. The food is really good, and the service is top-notch. The manager, Maverick? I think, will be seen busing tables during busy times. The wait staff is always friendly. This time we had Tracy- a spunky gal with a great attitude. No matter what you order you can’t go wrong with a side of their queso. That wonderfully smooth hot cheese dip is good on everything. Also, most of the time we split when we go here- we get the double patty burger- it’s excellent!“

“Velvet Taco has great tasting flavor combinations, But… the tortillas are cold grocery store type. I ended up just eating the inside of my tacos with chips because the tortillas reminded me of playdoh… change the tortillas to a more authentic (cooked) tortilla and it’ll be sooo much better!!“

“Had a bit of a dine around in Printers Alley this past Friday for my birthday and Black Rabbit was our first stop. We started the evening here for a few drinks and small plates. I also needed to go support this year's Iron Fork Mixology Competition winner Kenichi Saito and enjoy another award-winning Stardust! It was just as delicious as the first time but this time around I got to enjoy the entire drink guilt free. I also ordered the Mezcal Old Fashioned and The Hoffa Connection. Both were great. They have several Old Fashioneds (vodka, gin, and Bourbon) and I want to go back and try them all! We also enjoyed the Rabbit Rolls, the Pork Tacos from the happy hour menu, some sourdough, and the cacio e pepe. We thoroughly found everything to be delicious and wouldn't hesitate to order what we had again; although I'd like to try the rest of the menu too. Service was great and we can't wait to return. “My sister and I treat ourselves every weekend dining out, somewhere nice. RozePony was just what we needed. We shared some appetizers, my sister loves wedge salad and this was the best one she’s ever had. The Almond risotto and the trout were so delicious we didn’t have room for dessert. We had the Hamachi which was delicious and fresh, the bacon wrapped quail which was amazing.

We had the local heirloom tomato salad as the next course which was the perfect setup for our main course of the beef cheek pot roast and lamb loin chop.

Cocktails were great and so was our bottle of Priest Ranch Cab!

“Fancypants is nothing short of fancy. When you arrive you receive a free cocktail from the nicest host EVER. I think it’s usually champagne but for the holidays they’re serving up mulled wine.

My friend and I arrived early for our reservation and they found a way to seat us before it at the bar. We were content with waiting but the fact that they even thought about moving us show their level of efficiency and customer service. They sat us at the bar near the kitchen and had the best meal from that moment on.(side note: I love a bar stool with a back and foot rest - the comfiest seating!!)

Since we were so flexible with our reservation, the hostess brought over free champagne much to our surprise! Ok ok, let me get to the food…

Fancypants is a prix fixe menu where you can either pick 3 dishes for $70 a person or their steak dinner where you split a big boi piece of steak and 2 dishes each for $105. On Sundays they have the menu open for a la Carte so keep that in mind! My friend and I went with the original dinner (which includes no meat FYI!) and each got 3 different dishes so we could split 6! I don’t remember everything we got but my standouts are the spicy carrot rigatoni with chili oil on the side, Japanese sweet potatoes, and Napa cabbage.

We were served by bartender Samir and what a gem he was! For such a busy night he was engaging and even made my friend a custom cocktail. If you sit at the bar, ask for Samir! He’s wonderful.

For drink, I went with their old fashioned. I don’t think I’d order this again due to how far it starts from the original cocktail, but if you’re thinking of dipping your toes in the old fashioned world, this would be a great one to start with! I then had the “plaid pajamas”, an apple focused seasonal cocktail.

We wrapped up the evening with a slice of the birthday cake cheesecake and dare I say it’s the best cheesecake I’ve had in a looooooong while. If you’re thinking it’ll be too sweet, they somehow balance the funfetti and classic richness of a cheesecake. I’d go back for another slice alone… as a matter of fact, I might do that on a Sunday 🤔

While the price is steep, the service and food you receive make it worth every single penny. While other restaurants in Nashville focus on vibes and service is left by the wayside, Fancypants checks all the boxes for a unique dining experience with a friendly staff and delicious food.“
