I always thought I didn’t belong. Everywhere I went, I felt like I should be somewhere else. That is, until I found Germantown Jonathan’s and the bartender, gauge. As a food critic from Paris (apologies if my English is not great), I had low expectations from a what I thought was sports bar. Most have decent food and fratty atmosphere. I have to say Jonathan’s proved me wrong. Our bartender, Gauge, was hands down to coolest guy I’ve ever met in my life. I am tempted to hire him as my own private bartender for my villa in Puerto Rico. His banter with his coworkers was so fun to watch, and everyone seemed to really like him.
