“Great Pollo asada. The chicken had great flavor, it was moist, and a little crispy just on the edges while being very hot. Able to combine with the rice, refried beans, and lettuce into a tortilla to make a few tacos. Delicious when paired with the green sauce for a little heat. The chicken did have bones. Can't take a photo--the foods all gone!“
“I was actually trying to go to a different restaurant in the area, but couldn't find parking. After noticing GReKo as I was driving around, I also noticed that they had a free parking lot. Counter service was quick, and the food was cooked to order and brought out fresh. My server apologized for a slight char on the beef souvlaki and said they would bring out another one. There was nothing wrong with this delicious kebab, served on a bed of fresh oregano! I also had an outstanding skewer of octopus souvlaki and a "half" salad which was generous and garnished with toasted chickpeas. One of the manager/owners came to me and asked if my replacement skewer had been delivered yet; I told him it wasn't necessary, so he had a complimentary baklava brought to me instead. Memorable food, great ambiance, convenient parking, and just off the I-24/40 on the east side. I now have a reason to stop in Nashville on those long road trips to elsewhere! “Best place for for Mexican food. This is definitely not no frozen, American style of Mexican food. This is authentic Mexican food at its best. Try the tamales oh lordy they are great. Beef or chicken both awesome. Beef quesadillas are banging also. I would rate this one of the best Mexican stops I've ever had. Definitely a must-try“
“This is one of those OMG Hot Dog moments. Had never heard of Nash Dogs but while at Opry Mills I passed their center kiosk and stopped to peruse the menu. This is where I met Naya who is an absolute sweetheart and her smile will light up the entire Mall!!! We discussed hot dogs and she was adamant about the flavors of the hot dogs they served. I relented and decided to try the Bear chili dog (with beans) but with raw versus cooked onions. The dogs and buns are grilled so they are piping hot and I watched them pour on the chili, cheese, and onions. Grabbed the dog and my soda and told Naya I would be back to let her know what I thought. Folks…this isn’t your grocery store Angus Beef Hot Dog…there is NO comparison. The flavors of this dog were exceptional, the seasoning was nice and balanced, and the skin was crisp but allowed the juices of the dog to come through. When you add the chili this was an awesome meal. One big thing to note, many times you get a chili (or something sloppy) dog by the second bite you’re pretty much eating it with a fork as the bun has disintegrated. In this case, the bun stayed WHOLE until the last bite…and it is a very soft and tasty bun. If you’re in Opry Mills try one of these dogs…they are exceptional AND if you get to meet Naya…you’re day will be that much brighter!!!“
