Perhaps I've been in many places here in Nashville to express my humble opinion but I must say, this is the best and authentic Japanese place I've eaten! Probably my fault for not reading the menu closely enough to see that it was not a spicy dish. 🤷🏾‍♂️👌🏾 I had the shrimp and scallops teriyaki, which I know, I know teriyaki is not usually spicy, but I like spicy. Overall I would say the experience was very good and I will definitely go back. The price point for everything that I saw on the menu was very moderate and quite affordable and the portions were very generous. I was very impressed by the quantity of shrimp and scallops that I had on my plate. It might not be that evident from my quick photograph but there was a more than generous helping of seafood. “Honestly, Good little sushi restaurant.
I don't really think rock n roll when I think sushi, but it was a pretty good experience overall.
Prices were reasonable, food tasted good and were good portions, not too busy, service was great, drinks were great. They even had glutton free soy sauce. I also liked the fact that you can still find nearby street parking around this part of town that isn't going to cost you money.

“I got the seaweed salad and spicy tuna crispy rice. When I paid I thought it was a little pricey, but the size of the portions made it a lot more reasonable. The tuna came as 10 pieces, all huge. And the seaweed salad was about 1.5 times the size of any other seaweed salad I've gotten. Fish was fresh, rice was crispy, and the salad was flavorful with a hint of spice.“

The sticky rice was amazing , the miso soup was SO good. Got sushi too & didn't get a chance to eat it but excited for it today. Also, appreciate their side options. My kiddo wouldn't eat a full meal but the side option allowed us to get her something she actually would. 10/10 will eat again when in the area! I love Sushi Kingdom for the all-you-can-eat aspect, but when I don't want that much food I come here. The sushi is better at Arigato Sayonara and so are the appetizers and hibachi. The prices are reasonable and the staff is so nice! Even something so simple as miso soup was done to perfection.“

“They just changed their name last month but the waitress ensured my the food was the same, kitchen and cooks were the same, they just changed their name and increased their menu to included more Japanese style food.

“7pm on a Saturday night, not busy but slow service. The goyza tasted "fishy" (do they put seaweed in the goyza here? That seems strange if they do), the sushi was ok but was unevenly cut leading to some comically large bites. The ramen comes with a fried egg, which just doesn't hit as well as a marinated ramen egg and the katsu pork I'm pretty sure what just a sysco pre-breaded pork chop which wasn't especially tender or flavorful. I have had better experiences here in the past but it fell way short of the mark this time. Also they seem to have some strange obsession with putting asparagus in almost everything, so if you love asparagus this may be your jam but I don't find it works great in sushi rolls.“

We started with Squid Salad and Gyoza then ate our way through totally yummy Crab Bang, YumYum, Eel Nigiri, White Tuna, & Sweet Shrimp… crunchy and delicious! Then we topped it off with Mochi ice cream! Every bite was better than we’ve had in a long time on the road! We had a “Trainee” server…and the rest of their friendly staff helped her provide superior attention! So glad we found KOI SHSHI THAI early in our stay herein Nashville! We’ll be back!“

“Take review with a grain of salt since I've only been once and it was for a to-go lunch, but wow, the hot and sour soup is so delicious and just full of fresh vegetables! Best hot and sour soup I've maybe ever had. The string beans were freshly sauteed and the cabbage was perfect! The restaurant itself was so nice and clean, and the cashier and hostesses were kind. Will definitely be going back! They also have a few little Lego sets decorating the cashier stand and they were all Lego sets I've been dying to build, it was cool to see them in person and built!“
