“What can I say? Waffle House is that friend we aren't proud to say we know. They're the friend that's a little too loud and a little too friendly. We quietly ignore them in a crowd until you really need them. We are as ashamed of knowing them as we are of how we treat them around others. We pretend that "better" places like iHop are what we really like, but we all know when you need a friendly smile and a hot cup of coffee on the table to soothe your aching head, Waffle House is where we crawl back. This location is no different. Jet lagged and unable to sleep, I crawled back to the only friend open at o'dark thirty. The wait staff here was great, warm and inviting like I came in everyday. The food was comforting and quick and the coffee was perfect. This place was perfect and I'll proudly say it was some of the best food I ate in Oak Ridge.“

“As someone who requires a gluten-free diet, I was so excited to learn that IHOP has GF pancakes. I was even more excited to find them so delicious now if they will add GF buns and bread as an option for burgers and sandwiches. Still, it was a treat to get to enjoy a pancake away from home Dietary restrictions: Has GF pancakes??????????“

“First watch is known mainly for their breakfast but I love the roast beef sandwich. It's hard to find roast beef that has a nice, rare cut and tastes great with a really smooth horseradish sauce that's much better than the ones you get at the fast food places.“

“The folks at this location are amazing! My daughter is headed home for the holidays. She’s been traveling the United States in a van she converted into a camper. She was staying in Robbins, TN where her traveling buddy (dog) was attacked by a wild boar. She arrived at the emergency vet late last night & her buddy, Gunner, is receiving in house vet care. He has a very long road ahead of him to recover, but the vet is very positive he’ll eventually get there. My daughter came in for breakfast this morning before heading back to the vet to see Gunner. My daughter is understandably an emotional mess right now. She contacted me to tell me the ladies at this Waffle House took care of her bill for her food. You ladies touched her more than you know. The vet bill is going to be staggering but there is nothing she won’t do for her companion. As her Mom you’ll never know how much that means to me that you did this for her. I’m in Michigan and can’t be there with her in person to comfort & watch out for her through this. Y’all are proof that there are still great people in this world. Thank you so very much!! ❤️ God Bless, Deb“
