We were taking forever to order, and the person at the counter quickly got one of the regulars his order, and he left cash on the counter. Complete trust and a beautiful relationship with their regulars; that should say something about this place!“

“I just want to recognize the manager working this morning. While I was waiting at the drive-thru, I overheard him coaching one of his employees. He didn’t realize his microphone was still on, so I got to hear something you don’t always get to hear in a customer-service setting.

There had been an issue with an order, and instead of making a big deal out of it, he calmly told his employee, “That’s all right, let’s just remake it. We can take care of these orders.” Then he said, “If that’s the worst thing that happens today, then we’re gonna be just fine.”

When I got to the window, I asked if he was the manager and told him I had overheard what he said. I just wanted him to know that his encouragement stood out to me. He said, “Positivity feeds positivity,” and that it was going to be a good day.

That genuinely made my morning. As someone who works in a leadership position myself, I really appreciated seeing a manager handle a small problem with calmness, perspective, and encouragement rather than frustration or blame.

Whoever is responsible for this Dunkin’ should know that they have a manager who understands that how you treat your employees matters. A little positivity really can change the atmosphere of a whole workplace.

There’s one particular gentleman that seems to always be there. He has to be the friendliest person I have encountered at any sort of chain business in who knows how long. I once ordered from the wrong location and rather than making me pay twice, they made my entire order and didn’t charge me! For no other reason than I was clearly in a hurry and frazzled. Literally there have been times that my interaction with the employees there changed my entire mood for the day. This dunkin is being ran RIGHT!“
