“On a whim we remembered this restaurant tonight and decided to make our first trip to El Toro. The first thing I will say about this place is the atmosphere was more low key than the other 20 mexican restaurants in Oak Ridge. It was calm and relaxing the place wasn't very busy but Im sure thats because people have not discovered this hidden gem on the west end. Now like a lot of people my harshest judgement with a mexican restaurant begins with their chips and salsa and I gotta say they kicked it off right. Chips were hot and salsa was vibrant and fresh. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a little more heat. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out super fast. The portions are big and they dont skimp on the meat. Everything was very well seasoned and flavorful and reasonably priced with most of the competition in town. Our wish for this restaurant is that it becomes successful enough to stay in business but also not get as loud and overcrowded as some of the others in town but with as good as the food is its probably only a matter of time 😉 We will definitely be back!“

“We went there tonight for the first time in a while. The place is nicely updated with the addition of a new bar and outdoor seating. The food menu was nicely updated too, the menu stood out compared to other local Mexican restaurants. The food was great and everyone at our table raved about it.“

“My family went for lunch, and we were blown away with how tasty everything was! Our server was very helpful, and the food was delicious. Not your standard Mexican restaurant. It has some familiar dishes but also things like menudo. I highly recommend. We will definitely go back!“

“I don't know what happened but the serving size is different and some of the menu items have changed. The food is delicious though. Some of the new crew is kinda rude as well. Two bowls cost $41.00 overall still a good choice of food.👌“
