“UPDATE. The owners have reached out to me and invited me to give it another try. I respect and admire their willingness to listen to reviews that are reasonable, and I'm looking forward to visiting again, and hopefully a better experience. I have eaten at this charming restaurant two or three times prior to yesterday. I even had it on my recommendation list for my Airbnb guests. yesterday was such a disappointment. I ordered their catfish which I have had before and it's always been delicious, and quite frankly it was awful. it was thin and tasteless and I don't know if it was overcooked or what the problem was. The fries which are normally wonderful, were limp and greasy and soggy and not very hot. Nicole slaw was bland and overly mayonnaised. Even the tea wasn't very good. I was shocked. also I had ordered a roll instead of cornbread, and I got cornbread. it wasn't very busy at a little bit after 11:00 a.m. so that can't be the reason. My companion enjoyed his salmon patty. He said it was tasty and cooked properly and I was glad to see that. service was prompt but not particularly friendly. The one piece catfish meal with the three sides was 13 plus dollars. definitely not worth it. I think my companions salmon meal was about the same, but since he enjoyed it I was glad for that as he had never been here before. on the way out I noticed the hamburgers looked delicious. So perhaps I chose the wrong dish. But I chose what I had had there before and enjoyed. I'm afraid I won't be back. And I won't be recommending it to my guests anymore. I was so disappointed!“
