“I just found this little GEM! I got the turkey sausage, egg, cheese and spinich burrito! It was amazing, but the salsa that came with it-AMAZING!. I highly recommend you come and relax and eat!”
“We were passing through Sweetwater on a family road trip stopping at the Lost Sea Adventure and needed to grab lunch. My friend found the Sweet & Salty Eatery as an alternative to your typical road trip fast food options. We were all very satisfied with the food, the staff, and most of all the owner. He came around and greeted all the customers, chatted with us about our trip. Gave us multiple recommendations of places to go and see at our final destination. Sweet & Salty is a true gem and a great find in Sweetwater. From sandwiches, to flatbread pizzas, and finally the “best smoothies” the kids have ever had…and they are smoothie connoisseurs, it was a great place to stop and I would definitely recommend it to everyone!”
“The service was excellent. Hands down the best horchata I've ever had. I asked one of the ladies who worked behind the counter what her favorite flavor of paleta was. She told me it was the Ferrero Roche. I ordered it. Let me tell you, I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the closest thing I've come to the sublime. One of the best things I've ever eaten. I loved the seats with the view of the street. I shall come back again and will tell my friends.”
“I moved to Sweetwater a couple of months ago, and I regret not coming here sooner. The mint chocolate chip was so good and creamy. Definitely going to be hard to beat. Side note, the marshmallow topping is a treat in and of itself.”
“I can't say enough wonderful things about this bakery/cafe. The people who work there, both the related and the friends, make you feel like part of their extended family and I have never walked in without being greeted by the warmest smile ever! The fresh baked goods are amazing, and I have sent out their packaged treats (I suggest the crack!) have been welcome gifts to my family in multiple states and it travels very well. It's plenty convenient to the highway, though I always take advantage of the scenic route, and it's a wonderful place to take a stop while either driving or riding around beautiful Sweetwater. I wish I could give them six stars!”
“Next BbQ I've ever had. So I went back and bought a lb of it with their wonderful sweet sauce. &ate on it for days. It was lunch time so I picked up a. Cuban sandwich & it sent me back to Little Havana, so good ?? I'd tell everybody to eat there, great experiences there.”
“The Cinnamon rolls were the lightest most delicious rolls I have ever had. Just the right amount of sweetness. Not a big sticky bun person so it was refreshing to have a light dough with cinnamon flavor without tons of sugar and frosting. The coffee was one of the best coffee to go I have had in yesrs. So much to choose from, so fresh. Just moved close to the shop. They also have breakfast sandwiches. Hard working wonderful Owners and very kind. Will be back for sure.”
“The atmosphere was calm this evening. There were a few "older" groups of ladies there enjoying their sweet treats.Me,My mother & my 3 daughters stopped by on our way home to grab some ice cream. There was one girl working, but she was fast and efficient enough for my 2 (very impatient) toddlers. She was kind and let me try a sample of their new Marshmallow ice cream-10/10. I decided on that flavor, on a waffle cone. My mom got her norm, I call it almond joys take on ice cream. We also got, little Blue panda, chocolate chip, superman and praline pecan. All flavors were fresh and delicious.Vonore is my (little) home town. If you blink, you'll miss it.So I like to support our local businesses and watch them grow.If your in the area, stop by and give them a try! I promise, You'll be glad ya did!If headed south on 411 they're on your left, less than a quarter mile before the red light at hwy 72. If headed north on 411,After you pass McDonald's and the gas station, start looking for them on your right.”
“Delicious food and friendly service. I had a small issue when my dinner was served and our server Mason immediately brought it to the attention of the manager, Lauren. She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my meal. More restaurants should treat their customers with the level of respect and satisfaction I received. The food and staff are top notch.”
“Great area. Treated me with so much hospitality and I’m not from here. Good is so good they are NOT stingy with their meat like a lot of places are. Very great environment for all kinds of backgrounds.”
“My husband & I moved here from NYS in November 2023 and I knew I wanted to try this place. My favorite cookies are the Gluten free Peanut Butter. They taste FANTASTIC and I don’t have to eat GF. My 2nd favorite is the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. I like the Caramel Macchiato frozen or not frozen. My only complaint is they don’t have skim milk and I haven’t been able to go as much. I LOVE their drinks and was drinking them at least 3 days a week, but anything other than skim disagrees w/me. I would love for them to add skim milk as an option - otherwise, this is a GREAT place!!Parking: Parking is usually not available in front of the Coffeehouse, but there is rather large parking lot across the street and it’s free.”
“We're always glad when spring comes to Loudon - and Tic TOC season begins!Yummy ice cream and cute ambiance. The Loudon Clock and fountain and benches across the street make it even more attractive for the grandkids - and for us, too.”
“Pork (tenderloin) sandwich is delicious!!! Our son loves the meatloaf sandwich. Everything at Carl’s is very good and reasonably priced. Thank you Carl’s of Loudon, TN.”
“Stopped in for lunch on our way home traveling through and just made it as the local church crowd started to arrive. Place became full which is a good sign. There were plenty of servers and we were met with a friendly young lady that took care of us. We enjoyed the fried pickles appetizer. I always try to get something unique while traveling and trying new places so I went for the smoked brisket grilled cheese and fries. My word...it was good. Brisket was perfect. Tender, perfect smoke, and a generous portion of meat. Fries were top 5 best I've had. Loved the cut and batter on the fry. Really good. My husband got the country fried steak, potatoes, and okra. Sadly it wasn't as good. Okra frozen style not fresh or cornmeal battered. Potatoes were just standard. Steak was a nice big portion but seemed frozen not house made. Which is pretty normal, but fresh would have been amazing.Atmosphere was ok. Little cramped. Was very close to the folks eating around us, but that's ok. They all knew each other in this small town.Restroom was teeny, but ok.I would definitely go back again if ever traveling through.”
“Went to Fat Hats for the first time. The food was excellent. They have a hidden treasure there Emily. She came to to the table and did some card tricks such a lovely person. We will definitely be back i think it's my new favorite place to eat. Oh and the onion rings the best ever light and crispy. ”
“She said: Perfect stop and break at an old school soft serve ice cream place with walk-up or drive-by service. Too bad we stopped after lunch as BBQ place next door looked attractive. He said: I agree. Still picked up a pound of BBQ next door before we left.”
“Sons of Smoke has a great local following and appears to be family-run, which I appreciate. Their namesake smoke on the ribs was excellent, with a great char and deep flavor. However the meat itself was quite dry, almost grainy in texture, that their sweet and hot barbecue sauces couldn't save. I enjoyed the Friday special, the pork tenderloin sandwich. It was pounded very thin and breaded well so that it had both a crunch and was chewy. The rest of the food, while cooked well, was bland and lacked flavor overall, including the green beans, onion rings, pulled pork, and baked potato. A little more seasoning and Sons of Smoke could easily be one of the best barbecue joints around.”
“Adorable venue with excellent vibes. Staff super friendly. Wasn't really a fan of their coffee or chai but that's personal preference. Their pesto chicken sandwich was delicious though.Parking: A couple of spots in front of the venue but also an entire row of parking off the side, very easy to navigate.”
“the girls who worked there were very very nice, quickly prepared a drink, and a steamed bun that was not from the refrigerator, it was freshly cooked on a traditional Asian steamer especially for me! it was very tasty, I fulfilled two of my dreams - trying a bubble tea and a steamed milk bun!!! I'm so glad it was my most wonderful weekend. I will definitely be back to order again ”
“The place used to be a train station. They have redone the place very nice. Sorry, but I didn't take any inside photos. Some people can get upset when you take photos that might include them.I went to lunch with several co-workers and got a lunch entrée. A Southwestern Crunch Bowl and a Dr. Pepper. The entrée was ok and the drink was good. They got busy, and the waitress made such a quick pass that I wasn't able to flag her down for a drink refill. However, I did get her to make me one to go when I paid. Back to the entrée, it was hot but still bit flat. There were roasted red peppers and onions, black beans, white rice, and chucks of white meat chicken in sauce and surrounded by just 6, Dorito size and style, chips. Plain sticky white rice didn't cut it for me. I don't think the chicken was seasoned either. Probably out of a can. The black beans were scarce, but there was plenty of chicken. The size of the meal was good for the price of approximately $10. Add some roasted corn, season the chicken and rice appropriately, add more chips and lighten up on the hot sauce and I think the entrée would be pretty good. ?A couple of my coworkers go there all the time and love the place. One got a Patty Melt and loved it. Another got a wrap and liked it. When I eat there again, I'll try something different and update this review. If you're into beer, they have plenty of different kinds. I'm not a beer drinker, so I can't comment beyond that. If you don't like beer, they have whisky too. My preference for an alcoholic beverage.”
“Great little sandwich and hoagie shop in Sweetwater. I had the Reuben… delicious! Served with a pickle and hot pepper on the side. My dad ordered the club and it looked huge and excellent!”
“Great spot for classic Mexican, but with more options on the menu. We love their street tacos el pastor, enchiladas supremas and guacamole. Service is excellent and friendly.”
“Wonderful little restaurant, fast service and excellent food. The rice was the best I have ever tasted! Hope to return here some day. The staff and the customers are really friendly.”
“Had hot Jasmine tea, Oceans eleven roll, sunny roll, egg drop soup and the teriyaki tofu hibachi. It was all delicious, well presented and great service. Atmosphere needs a little work. The music setup and genre was strange for the environment.”
“Fast friendly service, the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was friendly. Cant wait to pass through the area again. Petros is a place that holds memories for us, we used to visit the Petros in the mall in Gallatin TN when our kids were little and they have held onto those memories and the tradition of making The "corn chip" bowl ?”
“Excellent donuts!! Wish I wasn’t diabetic ???… but maybe that’s a good thing cuz otherwise I’d eat a dozen a day. They’re really fantastic donuts!!! Best we’ve ever had.”
“Best place to be with the best people. Great wine and the atmosphere is unmatched. Be here or be square. You won't find a better view of some TN mountains. The trees are having new babies and it makes it that much better! Great wine. Such peaceful views. Casual and "be who you are" atmosphere. Love it here.”
“1st timer. Ate here for dinner shortly before they closed on a Saturday night. Got the Chicken Carbonara and it was delicious. It was a smooth, settle, tasting sauce. ?It was so good and I would def come back just to eat that again. They brought some bread and marinara as the table appetizer which was also so fresh and good. The food was nice and hot even tho they were so close to closing. There was no pressure on us that they were closing either, they let us enjoy our food at our own pace.”
“We were stuck way in the back portion of the restaurant which didn't have any atmosphere the front part did look nice, like your typical Mexican restaurant. Nice window views. I had enchiladas which is my go to when I try a new place. It wasn't the best I've had but then again it wasn't the worse either. Nothing special about the salsa but the chips were good. Service was a little slow, maybe because we were so far back.”
“Great stop with our RV for a quick lunch. Grilled cheese sandwiches on sourdough bread. Peanut butter milkshake without the candy and just the real peanut butter for us. Bought a couple blocks of cheese too. Service was super friendly by 3 lovely young ladies. Beautiful property.”
