“We love Mexican food so we tried this place on a stop in Sevierville. House margaritas are fine for a house margarita. They have nicer tequilas if you choose to do so. We shared a fajita quesadilla and it was both tasty and on the larger side. Many Mexican people were eating here so it is probably the better Mexican in town.“

“Once again enjoying my favorite Mexican restaurant in Sevierville. Great food and great service. However, there are some customers that just come in from other states (tourist) who come in and disrespect not only the restaurant , but the peace of others, during lunch. Bringing a dog inside a restaurant, having it sit on the bench and feeding it your food, then having the audacity to complain to the server about the volume of meat on your order! You need not come back! You people were totally disrespectful to everyone. Yelling at the manager, not acceptable. Sad this happens with tourism.“

“We stop at El Primo everytime we are in the area. The food is authentic and delicious, and the portions are generous. It is also very fairly priced. Their horcheta, melon water, and pineapple water are great. The sopes, carnitas, and barbecoa are a few of our favorites. In addition to the delicious food, they have a wide variety of snacks, drinks, fresh vegetables, and meats.“

“Awesome spot to find in east TN! I grew up in Southern CA going to taquerias regularly and this place is the real deal.
As others mentioned, the woman who took our order spoke Spanish, but she was ready to go with a mobile app translator. I am white as Wonder Bread, but it was perfectly easy to order between the app and my own knowledge of Spanish.
My friend and I were there to order a decent amount of food for both our families without calling ahead, and they Taqueria Catracho took care of us in about 15 mins, packed the food very well and provided a LOT of very good salsa verde and rojo!
The people with negative things to say on these reviews are likely uncomfortable outside their culture, and instead of recusing themselves chose to leave 1 star reviews here, which is very unfortunate. This is the type of restaurant I always hope to find, but there are unfortunately not many like it. Two big thumbs up!“
