burdett's is an absolutely beautiful place that looks just like a tea room should look and they have some lovely items for sale as well. I found the homemade permitted cheese and tuna salad to be quite good and the homemade soups were good with the exception of the beer cheese soup which was just average. It was thin and watery and beer cheese soup that I've had in the past was a bit thicker but the flavor was fine and a little spicy which was nice. I've been here twice in the past week. The food is really good. The scones are fantastic. I wish that the tea could be ordered with seasonal flavors, such as the orange cranberry scone flavor. I haven't found a favorite tea yet. The Russian Caravan that I tried is advertised as a customer favorite. I tried it the first time and it smelled awful. It tasted a little better.
