Panera Bread Reviews
I had an asiago cheese bagel, toasted with butter, and one of the hibiscus iced teas. It's one of my go to meals at Panera. Love it.
This is a new Panera and very much feels like a fast food joint. It was a bit disappointing to be honest. No comfortable chairs. They were serving dine in food in plastic to go containers. The coffee machines were single serve where they grind your cup .. seems like it would be better but it did not taste good. Watery like .. maybe order it stronger than usual and it would be better.
Regardless, it’s nice to have this in Tullahoma since there are not many food options.

Panera Bread receives mixed reviews from customers, with significant concerns about value and consistency alongside notes of good service and food quality. Many customers express frustration with high prices, feeling the cost does not match the portion or quality received. Specific mentions include a total over $40 for shared items, $28 for two half-sandwich meals, and $55 for two salads and side chilis, described as "highway robbery." The Pick Two combo is frequently cited, with items like the barbecue sandwich on sourdough and the turkey rancher showing inconsistency in portion size, one noted as having barely any chicken. The French onion soup is praised for taste but sometimes arrives without the croutons shown in the app. A free cookie with an app order is criticized for its small size relative to its listed price.
Service experiences vary greatly. Negative interactions include an Assistant Manager responding poorly to a request for extra au jus, and staff appearing more focused on conversation than customer service during food preparation. However, positive service is also highlighted, with staff members described as going above and beyond, answering questions with kindness and patience, and offering a good personal touch. One employee apologized profusely for a colleague's behavior and assisted in cleaning a table. Another personally brought a meal outside in under three minutes. The atmosphere is generally found to be pleasant and the restaurant very clean, with an organized drink counter. While some food is reported as delicious, hot, and fresh—such as the Asian Sesame chicken salad and French onion soup—the overall value proposition leads several customers to consider alternatives like McAllister's or Jimmy John's for similar pricing. Despite some satisfactory visits, the inconsistency in both service and portion size for the price forms a common point of criticism.
