“We had dinner there tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Atmosphere was great and food excellent! We lost track of time and didn’t realize it until I noticed it was dark.
When you sit down baskets of crackers and cheese spread are brought to you. This is then followed by soup.
Each entree has a salad with it along with one side. I ordered the deep fried shrimp but wasn’t sure if I would rather have the charbroiled. She offered to bring half & half without me asking. I thought that was such a nice thing to do.
My daughter had the salmon and my granddaughter chicken. Both enjoyed their dinners.
You get so much food that it makes the prices moderate.
The owner is very hands on and is so attentive to her customers. She makes sure that you enjoy your visit!

“We went to Michoacán and picked up lunch. We had a beef also a chicken Gordita. We ordered the spicy pico and sauce. It was awesome! Also ordered a scoop of sweet corn ice cream and a scoop of churro ice cream. The ice cream itself is high quality and very creamy. They have so many flavors from traditional to very Latino. Whether you are in the mood for ice cream or some really tasty Mexican street food this place worth a try!”

“30 minute wait for order to be taken and 45 minutes waiting for food. Some of the food was cold. Coffee was excellent with good refills. The restaurant was not full and the wait should not have taken so long but I saw only one cook so it was the manager’s fault, not the staff’s.”

“Don't be put off by the plain outward appearance of the building. Waiting for you inside are Darla and Amy, who will take good care of you! A little, homey country joint with good home cooking done right with care and love. Fluffy bisquit with tasty brown sausage gravy and eggs cooked the way I ordered 'em. Darla was warm and chatty and proud of their food! Looking forward to going back for lunch or dinner!”

“My husband and I were stuck in Chuckey TN due to the damage of Hurricane Helene. We went a day & half only eating non-perishable items aka junk food because everything was closed & we had nowhere to stay. We came across Pop’s place and it was a full house! Only one person cooking and one person serving tables. They were amazing!!!! Not only did they do a great job serving & giving delicious food, but we heard them tell guests who didn’t have cash (since they weren’t able to take cards due to the storm) to just pay it forward or come back & pay if or when they can. Their being open & serving food was a blessing, especially for people who didn’t have a home during the craziness. I hope their kindness to their community & strangers gets the notice it deserves.”

“BEST EVER - My wife and had an amazing breakfast there. They even custom made an egg skillet type thing for my wife. Once our server brought it out, the server stated that it looked and smelled so good that she was going to add it to their specials. Best pancakes I've ever had. PLEASE support this establishment as the construction on their street has brought their business down. They need everyone's help. Great place......”

“We’ve just moved to town and were ecstatic to find a local bakery! Boy, did Peggy Ann’s not disappoint. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We ordered a bake cinnamon roll, 5 donuts and an apple fritter. Everything was superb! So yummy and the perfect weekend treat. Dough is nice and fluffy. And huge portions! Great value for the size and we’d always prefer to give our hard earned money to small businesses. Hours are great too!”
