But as my sister in law is Thai I have been trained towards spicier dishes, but not yet ready for Thai spicy. Her green papaya salad lit me up. We'll be back.“

“We celebrated a retirement tonight at the Behive in Abilene, Texas, and while it was a bit of a wait for a table that would accommodate our large group, it was worth the wait.
The filet minion was tender as butter, the salmon was perfect, the rolls were artisan quality, the red velvet surpassed all expectation.

“Shout out to Taco Casa Abilene on Buffalo Gap Road. We went and ate lunch and everything was great. I’m picky and like a bean burrito with not a ton of beans and the kitchen showed me the burrito before rolling it to see if that was how I wanted it. Then a man that worked there I guess noticed I didn’t finish my food and brought me a sack to take it home with me so it was easier to carry since I had a baby with me, he did this without me saying a word about needing one just thinking he’d make things easier on me to carry. So thoughtful. The place was super clean and the environment was great unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere. They take pride in what they’re putting out and you don’t see that much nowadays especially in fast food.“

“This was my first time visiting Mr Burger and it was a really good experience! I used the drive thru and ordered a corn dog, fried okra and a diet cherry vanilla dr pepper. It was happy hour, so my drink was 1/2 off ( Happy Hour is 3-4) As I was pulling up to the first window, a young fella poked his head out and smiled and waved me over. He was very friendly and just so precious! Whatever Mr Burger is paying him is not enough! I paid for my food and was given my drink and instructed to go around to the next window to pick up my order. As I was waiting, I took a sip of my drink and I kid you not, the flavor sent me back in time! Not sure what cherry juice they're using but it tasted like it used to when I was a kid! Not like the fake stuff you get at other places. That was the best diet cherry vanilla dp I've had in a long time! I received my order and headed on my way. The corndog was just a corndog, but it was hot and fresh. I didn't think to ask for mustard but it was still delicious. The fried okra was so hot and fresh and tasty! I might ask next if they can make them a little crisper but they were still excellent! I hope to go back soon and try a burger. And I'm already thinking about that drink!“

“There are two locations in Abilene. Personally, the location on the south side of town is the only one I will go to, even though it means adding an extra 10 minutes one way to my drive. Excellent service, friendly staff, consistently great food, and basic things like napkins, Heff’s sauce, and tea are always accessible and kept in good supply.“

I highly recommend supporting the open mic nights. You don’t have to be a pro or seasoned singer. It’s kind of like karaoke with a live band plus the band performs songs in between. They take the time out to learn the music to the song you want to perform. Basic Truth is a soulful, artistically talented, group of local musicians with a power house lead lady singer. They are very open and welcoming to all different types of musical artistic expressions. If you haven’t checked open mic nights out yet, you’re truly missing out. “Me and my boyfriend came in on a very busy Saturday night, even though there was a wait they were able to get us seated on a small high top. Our chips and queso came as we were still ordering our food. We got a qp burger and a triple dipper. The beer and shot we ordered came out immediately. The server, Chris B. wanted to warn us it might be a wait because of how busy it is, but there wasn’t a delay on the food at all. It came out fresh and crispy. Our server, Chris B, and the manager Chelsea were great, awesome attitude, super attentive, friendly, and they made the whole experience even better than it always is. Great location! Keep it up!! “I ordered the fish sandwich and a salad to go. THE Fish sandwich had way too much mayonnaise and no bjalapeño coleslaw as advertised. Also. The fish was a good size The salad had no dressing with it. I really don't know who would eat salad without salad dressing“

“Texas Roadhouse is great they have great food great service and the service manager there came up to our table our waiter was nice I love to go somewhere and feel welcome to eat at a restaurant that busy and still get quality service the environment was great I was able to watch the game I recommend Texas Roadhouse if you like a good ribeye steak I had a 16oz that I choose and it was delicious“
