“I have been craving grilled kebab for months. While in town for work, I ordered take out from Avalon. Unfortunately the number on the website was inactive and a third party, Clover, seems to charge quite a bit more for their service to order on line.

All this said, it may have been the best kebab I’ve had. They forgot the pita, which I love. This did not impact my rating as it is a minor point and every other aspect was exceptional, so this is easily forgiven. I highly recommend Avalon.“

“Last night, four of us celebrated the younger couple’s 8th wedding Anniversary and my wife’s 75th Birthday. We had the most wonderful time at Sachet. The food was Mediterranean - outstanding! Absolutely delicious! Our wait-person, Jennie, made the evening. She was confident, personable, cheerful, helpful, patient, and never intruded, but celebrated with us. She brought 2 tiny glasses of Champagne and a lovely congratulatory card signed by several staff members for the Anniversary couple and for my teetotaler Birthday girl and me - tiny glasses of ginger ale and our table’s desert choice (+ 4 forks) with a lit elegant gold candle. It was an unforgettable evening enhanced by the ambiance, great food, and perfect service.“

“Horrible customer service experience tonight at CAVA. We’ve never been to the new CAVA by our house. So we thought we’d take a walk over there and give it a try. We walked in and there were four employees behind the counter. I don’t know how much more obvious we could’ve been that we were brand new to the CAVA experience, but not one of the four employees even greeted us. We took a moment to look at the menu and decided to have the lemon chicken bowl, and the falafel wrap. There were no prices listed for drinks. You should fix that. We literally had to stand there while they kept walking around looking at us and not even saying hello. Finally someone asked if they could help us. I said I’d like the falafel wrap and he promptly walked away without asking what my dining companion wanted. We didn’t know where to stand so we went back to the beginning of the service line. Finally the second guy asked if there was something else we wanted. I told him I wanted the lemon chicken bowl as well. They made up our food silently, no eye contact, no conversation. We got to the checkout and the lady was absolutely unhelpful and unfriendly. We paid for our meal and went and sat down. The food was delicious but the inhospitable attitude of the staff was palpable and disappointing. Something needs to be done about the greeting and ordering experience. Systems need to be in place where people feel welcome. If the food weren’t so good, I definitely would never go back. I’m hoping someone will see this and make some effort to put a system in place where people are made to feel welcome at these new restaurants, otherwise, you are doomed. There are literally five other restaurants in the shopping center where this new CAVA is located. If customers want to be treated better, and they only will be treated better at other restaurants, CAVA will close down very quickly.“

“Loved this family owned Jordanian restaurant! Daniya and Mr. Mohammed, sweetly greeted us, explained the way to order, and even gave us samples, since it was our first time here. We ordered a falafel sandwich and had a plate of falafel that came with their delicious and super thin pita bread and tahini sauce. The in-house, fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside falafel Mr. Mohammed makes, are the best falafel we have had in the DFW area. We have tried MANY places, this is hands down our new go to place for a falafel sandwich craving!“

You can't go wrong with whatever you order but the Sea Bass and Vegetarian Lasagna had me wanting more. The grill vegetables were so well prepared I was left shocked by the seasoning he used. We tried their Kaleh Pacheh (sheep’s head and feet), and it was delicious. They only serve it on Sunday mornings from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, so make sure to call ahead and reserve your spot. It also helps the chef know how much to prepare for the day.

The food was great, the service was excellent, and the place has a really nice, cozy atmosphere.

Even if Kaleh Pacheh isn’t your thing, they have plenty of other options like kebabs and other Persian dishes. Definitely a place worth trying!“
