“Staff is always friendly and attentive.. prices are great along with the food. Great environment and music especially when live bands are here. Not to mention clean restrooms which is rare in the bar scene. Love the improvements they have made as well. Highly recommend this bar. Has a great atmosphere. Isaac the manager was even nice enough to introduce himself and ask about our experience.“

“Food is amazing! Prices are mid, not too expensive but a good dollar. Only thing that I didn't expect or approve of is the sit down service system. (Full Service) imstead of a counter service. I really liked just ordering and getting my own refills and not worrying about a server. Food is still one of my favorite burgers, but it's just that Sit down service that isn't my approval as a customer.“

“We went through the drive through and they explained every item on the menu to us since it was our first time. Then we sat in the little play area and ate. The cheese sticks, gizzards were fantastic but OMG!!!! The funnel cake I had ( Kevin Bacon) was to die for. I can’t wait to go again. I highly recommend this place ♥️

Kid-friendliness: My grandkids lost their minds with how big their treats were. Plus they got to play while they waited and played during and played after. I actually got to enjoy my treats because they were entertained. Very fun place!“

“Visited twice over the Thanksgiving break. Wish we could have made another visit. The food was excellent. Had breakfast both times. There was a short wait, but well worth it. My grandaughter, for the first time, had the French toast. She loved it and cleaned her plate. As we all did. Making another trip to McAllen over the Christmas Holidays. Can't wait to make a return and sit down for the wonderful breakfast items.“

Please have your food prep staff/workers change gloves after handling money or touching the checkout screen. The same checkout screen your customers touch. I was so turned off that I had to remind the female worker to change her gloves after she handled cash, the screen, then touched the opening of the bottle where the crema and mayo come out of. That’s cross contamination. She needs to retake that food handlers course again.“

“El Divino is one of our very favorite places to eat. The food and drinks are consistently excellent (since 2013!) and the restaurant is beautiful with a separate room for private functions. The fillet and Brussels sprouts are the best in McAllen and the burger is very good - it’s the dish visiting friends remember when we take them there. Make sure to ask for Jess, our favorite server, for a great dining experience. She always remembers our drink order, makes us feel so welcome, and is a huge part of why we keep coming back.“

“I had a good experience at Denny’s restaurant on University Drive In Edinburg this morning. Samantha, our server, constantly checked on us. She always made sure to be cheerful and attentive. Cassie, a server not assigned to us, had an ever-present smile. Her smile radiated so brightly that it lit up the mood of my friend and me. These two young ladies made our visit to this place extremely pleasant. I recommend sitting at the bar. The bar is where the staff assembles to retrieve their orders. It is where you will always see smiling faces. Here is where they have more of an opportunity to face you and gift you with a kind comment or beam another bright smile in your direction.“

“I've never met them, but through some business dealings I learned that the owner of this place is, I think, a 2nd generation restaurant owner and from everything I've seen and heard, they are really good people. “Ok. So we went to Red Lobster to try their new seafood boil bag. We've been loyal Mr Crabbys seafood boil bag customers for 5 years. Finding really great seafood outside of NH is hard. So hard..... Until now. The RL boil bag is far superior. Here's why: 1. The seasoning is just right. Choice of garlic & butter or Cajun. Got the Cajun- because that's the only seasoning in a proper boil bag that's acceptable. 1a. The seasoning is far better as it's not drowning in oil- causing constant crab splatters. 1b. The seasoning does not overpower the taste of the seafood like Mr Crabbys does. You can actually taste the lobster- shrimp and crab. 2. The bag comes with 6 more shrimp (12 total) than Mr Crabbys 6. The lobster tail is split fully in half rather than just slashed down the top spine- making it difficult at Mr Crabbys to pull the meat out in one swipe. (That's what she said) 3. The bag does NOT come with sausage if you order the Mariners Bag. However it can be added. Here's the closer- it's REAL Andouille sausage- not kielbasa. Me Crabbys has been using kielbasa the last few times we went. If you know the difference in flavor- you'll understand why this matters. 4. I wore my bib cuz I'm accustomed to having the food drip all over me as I crack and work for my reward. It was not needed. Even with dumping the bag into the tray- it was not over saturated in oil- but rather delicately seasoned with butter. Over all- we have a new Sunday Boil Bag date location. I never thought I'd stray from Mr Crabbys- but shockingly- Red Lobster has become the affair worth having. They did good with hiring this new CEO who brought this brain child to my beloved Maine lobster Locale here in the Deep South. If yall see this- please- from this coastal New England girl trying to get a nut in the RGV.....don't ever drop this from the menu. Sincerely Your newest fan.“

“We are new to the Valley and are searching the little gems. We found one at Santa Fe. The steaks were great. My spouse had the filet, cooked to perfection medium rare and velvet smooth. I went for the ribeye. Same results, perfectly cooked. Both steaks had flame char. Our server, Poppy, was divine. She was so helpful and attentive. We will be back.“

“We were looking for a quaint “Mom & Pop” place for breakfast/lunch that is reasonably priced. We found it. This place is no frills but the food is excellent. The dinner rolls are huge, heavy and yeasty. The breakfast biscuits are heavy and slightly sweet. The cinnamon rolls are AMAZING!! They are as big as a dinner plate and are a meal in themselves! We ordered two to share and ended up taking one home. The coffee is good. My only “druthers” is that they do not serve real butter. I prefer real butter over whipped vegetable oil. We’ll be back!“
