“I’m so mad at myself for all the times I drove by and never stopped in. This was some of the best wonton soup I’ve ever had. The wonton filling was delicious and very full inside. The broth was delicious. Now onto the egg roll. That was one of the best egg rolls I’ve had in many years. Tasted homemade and fresh. The lady at the counter was very nice. Food came out quick and the restaurant was very clean. I’ll definitely be back with a bigger appetite next time.“

“Our family goes here all the time when we’re craving some authentic Thai food. It’s definitely the best in the DFW metroplex and the fact that they’ve been around for almost 40 years is a testament to their quality and service. You feel like you’re part of the family as soon as you sit down. The owner and his family are always walking around asking if you need anything. Their wait staff is also great, especially Ariana. Try this place out if you want great Thai food at reasonable prices. We love this place!“

“This place!! So I work across the street from this spot and live down the street. I have always passed by but never stopped until the other day. And im glad I did. My husband and I have found our new hideaway. I love the food and how small it is. And the staff is great. However because it's such a small place you have to be ok with the smoke that can come from the kitchen from time to time. Other than that, it's a great spot!“

“Everything was so good and the chef/owner made everything to our liking. He is very open to feedback because he wants to make sure you love his food. He took the time to explain everything and listened to what we wanted and adjusted as necessary (made sure all the dishes I ordered were made vegetarian because sometimes they use oyster sauce in the dishes). I recommend asking for the fresh Thai chilies to make it spicy instead of the dry crushed pepper to add more flavor. That dessert was unexpectedly so good! I would come back to this family-owned restaurant for that alone. He explained that due to city regulations, he couldn’t get a sink bug enough and therefore had to use take-out and throwaway containers. I won’t dox him for that, but unfortunate for the environment. We got the: jungle curry (vegetarian), pad kee mow (vegetarian), pad see ew, pad Thai (vegetarian), stir fried vegetables, and the purple rice dessert. All delicious!“

“The service was excellent, and the food was very good. I like spicy (TexMex) food. Asked for a 4 on the heat scale. Next time I will go a bit higher. I forget if the Thai scale is 1-6 or 1-5. “The owners are so delightful. They've been in business for 40 years. The Thai restaurant is probably one of the best that we've ever had in the DFW area. The Thai iced tea was just beyond fantastic, the food was delicious and perfectly spicy.
The owner gave us some advice since we were first time visitors.
She also showed us a magazine showing the King of Thailand which was so gracious of her to do that. You very rarely find mom and pop restaurants anymore and this place really seems that's they care about the food and the service.
We will be making special trips out to this location.“

“My husband and I just found this little gem this weekend and immediately fell in love, the food is just amazing and the owner's are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. I definitely recommend the duck mango, it was the best I ever had.“

I am very shocked to see the review i see about her because i don’t believe it is a reflection of her. Regarding the food. Just WOW! it was truly a feast to say the least! I ordered a Red Curry and i have to say it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted! Even though it was busy all servers kept checking our table even the manager came and checked on us! “Absolutely terrible manager! Please avoid this restaurant at all costs if you value good customer service. I'm still in disbelief! We ordered around $170 worth of food. Our only mistake was sharing a few sips from my refillable cup with my friend. That's it! The manager overreacted, making a huge scene, even though I apologized and offered to pay for the additional drinks. We ended up paying for three extra drinks. I have the receipt to prove it. ** Yet, he still called the police on us! ** The police officer was literally laughing when we explained why the manager called him. Let me elaborate to make it clear that I'm not just biased against him. We were a group of six. Initially, we had a friendly guy at the counter who offered suggestions and helped us navigate the menu since we're not familiar with Thai food. However, the manager suddenly took over, removed the friendly staff member, and behaved erratically, as if he was drunk (though I'm not saying he was drunk). He refused to offer suggestions. When we asked like what manu is popular here, or what should we order, he said every time that thats our own choice. The waiter served our food quickly and then disappeared for the rest of our meal. He went out of the restaurant. The manager literally reminded us three times that the waiter was gone and that we should leave a tip on the counter for him if we wanted to. OMG!! It was as if it was a crime to start eating without giving a tip! When the manager noticed us sharing drinks from the refillable cup, he became rude and confrontational, saying it was against their store policy. I apologized and offered to pay for it, but one of my friends protested slightly, feeling humiliated by the manager's behavior.Then he got furious. He started shouting at us. We paid for the additional drink, didn't finish our food, and were ready to leave. However, I wanted to report his behavior, so I asked for his name. He refused to provide any information about himself or his superiors, repeatedly stating that he was the manager and the only one we could talk to. Then I tried to take a photo of him for our reference. He immediately called 911. He showed no respect or value for customers. This is not the kind of manager any restaurant would want! Absolutely the worst!“

“I googled and found this restaurant as I wanted to try a different Thai restaurant. I ordered takeout and I ordered shrimp basil rice, 3 flavored fish and veggie spring rolls. I was pleasantly surprised by how much food you get for the price. The portions size were pretty big in comparison to the other Thai restaurants I have tried here since moving to Texas. The veggie spring rolls for so good. And I think it was 6-8 of them in the container, the 3 flavored fish was really good it had a nice crisp and the sauce was delicious. The fish is Swai for reference. Now the only issue that I had was that the shrimp seemed to be “ frozen pre cooked shrimp” and not fresh shrimp. It didn’t make the rice awful but it did seem weird, any person who eat seafood regularly would understand what I am saying. Pre cooked shrimp from a bag is much different then fresh shrimp that is cooked into the rice. The rice is seasoned and has a darker color than what you would see at most of the Thai restaurants around north Dallas. If they would switch out the cooked shrimp they would literally be the best restaurant in McKinney easily.“

“Authentic Thai Food with a Cozy Atmosphere I had a fantastic Thai meal at this restaurant! The food was beautifully presented and full of rich, authentic flavors. The Pad Prik Gaeng (stir-fried pork with red curry paste and long beans) was spicy and delicious. The pork rib curry (Kaeng Kua) was rich and flavorful, and the grilled pork neck was tender and juicy. The warm and cozy atmosphere made the experience even better — perfect for enjoying a relaxing Thai meal. Highly recommended! Great food and good service!“

“I have eaten at the McKinney location several times and it is always awesome. Since I live closer to the Frisco location, I stopped today for take out. The food was not as good as the McKinney location. I always get the Teriyaki Chicken and today the sauce was not thick - like a glaze - as it is at the McKinney location. It was so thin it was like pouring water over the chicken. I was very disappointed! I hope the Frisco can do better with the sauce.“

“The food here is really good! I’m EXTREMELY picky when it comes to Chinese Food, so for me to write this review says a lot! I order their General Tso’s chicken at least a couple times a month (i literally just picked up my to go order a couple mins ago 😂) and I’m never disappointed. Just the right amount of sweet + heat. Plus the guy who takes the telephone orders is really nice (both on the phone and in person). I highly recommend Goody!“

But, that’s just fast food in general, and $20 here will get you considerably more food than spending the same $20 on a burger or chicken finger restaurant.
