Best travel eating experience. Amarillo is always our lunch spot when we are traveling between Dallas and Colorado. I have a gluten sensitive diet and its hard to eat on the go. I can eat sourdough so excited I can have their pizza and bread although they do offer GF alternatives. They ran out of regular size so they brought me 2 little pizzas. The staff are super kind.
I had the good fortune of eating at the original on Congress in Austin in1975! Only had 2 or 3 tables for dining in & no drive through! Over the years and different franchises somehow the bread just doesn't taste the same! All that made them popular famous was one sandwich &3 sizes! Tha large could feed 2-4 people! Still go but I'm still a big fan of the original!

This sandwich shop has a very brisk and steady line of customers. The service was fast and efficient and the music in the background is a nice touch. The California Chicken Avocado salad was more than I could eat. Tasty. Will try the strawberry salad next time.
