Red Claws Crab Shack Reviews
I visited Red Claw for the first time after my uncle recommended it and brought us along. While the food was okay, the atmosphere left a lot to be desired—especially for families.
We were shocked by the extremely inappropriate music playing loudly through the speakers. The lyrics were vulgar and absolutely not family-friendly. I was with my young daughter and instantly uncomfortable.
It’s disappointing when restaurants don’t consider the environment they’re...read full review
I visited Red Claws Crab shack on Monday, May 22, and although the food was flavorful, my experience was marred by subsequent illness. Unfortunately, ever since dining at this establishment, I have been plagued with a severe stomach bug, accompanied by nausea, body aches, and headaches. It is evident that Red Claws Crab Shack needs to improve their cleanliness and take greater precautions in the way they handle food preparation, serving, and maintaining their kitchen and bar area.

Red Claws Crab Shack is a popular spot, especially on weekends, with a wait time exceeding 30 minutes. The food is described as good and hot, although some items like the Cajun French fries lack flavor. Customers now have to order food in line, pay upfront, and then be seated, which has caused some disappointment among regulars. Despite these changes, the restaurant offers great food, especially if you don't mind the crowded atmosphere and close table arrangements.
The staff is very pleasant, and the food is good, though the sauces are not always consistent. The shrimp, crab, and catfish are particularly well-received, and the place is decorated with fun accents, making it a lively dining experience. However, some customers find the prices outrageous, especially for the portion sizes. Additionally, the limited wheelchair accessibility and the need to order and pay at the front can be inconvenient for some.
Customers have recently praised the restaurant's crawfish, describing them as juicy, spicy, and a good size. The RC house spice is recommended, especially the extra spicy version. The to-go orders are also highly commended, with fast service and hot food. The staff is attentive, and the overall dining experience is satisfactory, with some room for improvement in the setup for to-go orders.
