Asian Express is a solid choice for quick, fresh food with great flavor. The vibe is simple and no fuss, perfect for grabbing something with friends. The food quality is really good, with generous portions and reasonable prices. The General Tso’s was impeccable, and the Sesame Chicken was delicious, reminding one of OG Chinese Takeout with a classic taste and sauce that was just right. The batter on the sweet and sour chicken is seriously delicious and has a unique batter. The fried rice could use a little more pop, but it’s alright. However, one experience was inconsistent, with the chicken being hard, stale, and dry. The restaurant is a food truck located in a parking lot on a side street, with a little white circle sign that says Asian Kitchen, not Asian Express. The owner was very kind, and there is plenty of seating in the food truck park. They are open late and located conveniently on Rainey Street.
