great pizza but coming in and being the only person in line but waiting for 13 minutes.... just standing there with very little acknowledgment is crap.
Cheap tasting sandwich fro $25! The Hot Italian Beef sandwich was not hot in any sense. I asked three times for extra hot peppers, to make sure he knew I was serious, and there were a few sprinkled. The guy must be from one of those northern places that cant stand spice? I was also hoping it was temperature hot as well but no go. The bread was cheap tasting. For $25 you would expect quality bread, service and ingredients. Not going to risk it again.

East Side Pies sells pizza by the slice, which makes it more accessible for customers. It is a walk up with picnic tables in front of the window. The pizza shop has a quirky and laid-back atmosphere that matches the East Side neighborhood vibe.
The crust is thin and perfectly crisp around the edges. The tomato sauce is on point and not overly acidic. The pepperonis are an outstanding part of the pie. The spinach pizza stole the show, loaded with fresh, vibrant spinach over a tangy tomato sauce. The balance is spot on. The menu is full of inventive combinations. There is variety for grown ups and a kid’s favorite cheese pizza. The staff is friendly, unpretentious, and provides exceptional customer service. Great desserts are available.
It is fairly priced for what you get. The only thing holding this back from a perfect five stars is the limited seating. On busy nights it can be a challenge to snag a table.
