Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.
Wonderful food and fast friendly service! We love the rice and chicken combo 😋
Most restaurants in town could learn a few things from this establishment. Great customer service helping me out with everything. Just super kind. Food was delicious. All the great basic skills. Every restaurant should have wake up. Austin

El Pollo Rico #6 offers incredibly good chicken, although some dishes like beans and rice lacked flavor. The staff language barrier can be an issue. Despite this, the food is fresh, flavorful, and underrated, deserving more business. The al pastor taco plate is super tasty, with just the right amount of spicy and sweet, especially when paired with lime and green sauce. The flan is also delicious.
