The food and Beverage guys were perfect. Good menu, good service. The hotel was mediocre. They screwed us with our room a little, gave us one that had water leaking from the ceiling.... and that's okay, stuff happens... but they were terribly ungracious about it - a couple of meager, half-hearted 'sorry' pleas isn't the right way to handle it, especially with us renting two rooms for several days. Pool Bar is essentially a low-key bar located on East 6th that tends to be forgotten, as it's tucked away at the top of the East Austin Hotel. I highly recommend coming in during happy hour, which runs from 4-6 PM on Sundays through Thursdays. $5 on select beers & wines and my favorite $7 on select cocktails-- you can't beat those prices! The cocktails are actually really good and well-crafted here. The bartenders take their time and the drinks are tasty and perfectly rationed.
