The food was good, but unfortunately the overall experience was very disappointing. The phone was ringing constantly, which made the atmosphere unpleasant.
Our food arrived, but we had no plates. After about 10 minutes, we finally received plates, but still no cutlery. We asked four times and spoke to two different people before eventually being given disposable spoons.

We ordered pav bhaji, kadgai veg and chapati and we really liked it. I highly recommend.

Based on the reviews, Sri Annapoorna serves delicious, authentic Tamilnadu food. The weekend veg thali is a standout, with yummy curries, dal, and sweets that feel homemade, not oily or heavy. The tiffin combos, including idli, vada, pongal, and kesari, are also enjoyable. The sambar is excellent and tastes up to a Chennai Saravana Bhavan notch, without garlic and onion. For events, the catered food is delicious, close to home, with excellent packing and on-time delivery. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and quantity justify the cost. The atmosphere is good, though the dining area needs a bit more upkeep and deeper cleaning. Overall, Sri Annapoorna is a good, consistent choice for traditional Indian vegetarian food and is worth a visit for good flavor and big portions.
