The Baked Bear Reviews
What’s not to love? Giant scoops of ice cream sandwiched between two fresh baked cookies! Great customer service as well. Adults and kids are now fully stuffed after a fun day at the beach.
Went to get custom ice cream sandwiches on a visit to Austin. It was absolutely magical. They had GF cookies and vegan ice cream. GF cookies could have been a better texture but everything tasted great.
EK was super kind and friendly!! Icecream and cookies were equally delicious!!

The Baked Bear is a popular dessert spot in downtown Austin, known for its delicious cookies and ice cream. Customers can create their own ice cream sandwiches with a variety of cookie options, such as gooey butter cake, cinnamon toast, and ube (purple yam). The ice cream flavors are also a highlight, with options like blackberry crumble and almond brittle. The desserts are generously sized, making them perfect for sharing. The atmosphere is fun and casual, with outdoor seating on a turf area that is great for families, dates, or bringing your dog. The location is historic, being a former power plant, and has a unique charm with occasional trains passing by in the background.
The Baked Bear offers a wide range of options, and customers have praised the ice cream as "heaven" and the cookies as "fresh and delicious." The staff is described as friendly and helpful, and the servings are said to be "huge." While the price is considered a bit high by some, the overall experience is deemed "well worth the drive" and a "great dessert spot in Austin."
