“Let's be honest. When you want good food, Beaumont, TX is not where you go. There is very little to offer regarding great cuisine. All hail the food Gods and let us give thanks for Koi!Tucked away, almost unnoticeable, is this fantastic Japanese inspired establishment. We ran into it by a happy accident. While not a large restaurant by any means, it it put together extremely well! The layout and decor is ambient and modern. The service was impeccable! Our server was Victoria- a very polite and charismatic young lady. Victoria knew the menu very well and took extra special care to accommodate my wife's food allergies- which is not common in this community. Our food consisted of Beef and chicken yakatori, salads, Sushi, and Beef Tenderloin Teriyaki with fried rice. The food was absolutely amazing. It was fresh, vibrant, and the Tenderloin Teriyaki was cooked to absolute perfection. The sushi was also fresh, and possessed exquisite flavor with the combination of the spices used.Fried rice is typically cooked in bulk. It can be dry and unpleasant. This fried rice was a fantastic compliment to my dish. It was cooked to order. Perfect! It was beaming with flavor and I loved it!We lived in Denver for many years. The Denver area is really a Renaissance of fine delicious food that has really made its mark in the restaurant industry. KOI could quite easily settle in a larger metropolitan area and compete just fine. The food was delicious. The service outstanding! You can tell these owners care about what comes out of that kitchen, and that my friends, deserves praise. Considering there isn't much at all in this area, I imagine we will eat here habitually for some time! Well done, KOI! 4.25 from this dining connoisseur!Eric and Tara!!“
“A charming little locally owned restaurant. I get the sense the food is all fresh made instead of from a mass produced frozen supplier like some restaurants. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, the spicy chicken, and fried rice. It was sooo good!“
“The food is always good. This last time the noise level was a bit much with all the very small children that were at most tables (except ours). But, kids gotta eat so be warned, it's not that quiet, romantic date night place any longer.“
“I've had twice in about 2 months. Once was to go other was dine in. Today, the dine in experience was good service, the ramen was not as flavorful this time. We really love the kimchi fries, that alone is worth it! The chicken katsu was delicious, loved the way the chicken was fried. All in all it was good, last time the ramen was better. We will be back“
“I love MX Sushi! The most affordable, and also the best tasting. My favorites are the poke bowl, the avocado tempura, and the Philadelphia roll (I'm a huge Philly roll fan, and they have the best and biggest ones in setx). So delicious! The staff is amazing and will speak to you like they're your best friend, and they make sure that you have what you need. The only negative thing I could possibly say isn't even their fault. Just be careful with the chopsticks; I got a splinter when I tried to pull them apart for use and it's been in my finger all weekend.Other than that, definitely choose MX sushi. I'd take a hundred splinters for their deliciousness. ??? MX Sushi, you're doing it right“
