“Attended the bluefin carving last night.

Tickets were $207 pp. Aside from the tuna, there were stations serving unlimited food or drinks. Food stations - raw oysters and kaluga caviar.
Drink stations - premium sake, rum, and japanese whiskey (all did neat or cocktails).
The featured cocktail of night was a Lychee Martini and it was fantastic.

Servers came around with food, water, and the martini constantly.

Food options were: mini tuna sashimi waffle cone, tuna crisp with caramelized onions, a mini tuna fishbowl with mango, seared tuna skewers, hand rolls, and then a 3 plate of chu toro, otoro, and lean.

The tuna carving itself was cool. You were able to go and use a spoon to pick at the meat left close to the bone while they filet'd the tenderloins. We got to try the cheek seared, tuna bone marrow, and neck meat along with all the traditional cuts. Then obviously a tuna head sake shot because why not.

Worth every penny because they did not over sell tickets. At no point were you fighting for food or drinks. Will go again.“

“Me and my sis came for a little girls night and catch up and when I say from the door we were tested exceptionally! The hostesses were so sweet. Our bartender/server (I can’t remember his name although he told us several times, I do know it means Welcome in French.) Welcomed is exactly how he made us feel! His outstanding service, friendly demeanor, and excellent drinks, made the amazing food even better! We will definitely be back! We even met a host from their sister restaurant who was great too! “This my second time at cava my first was at the Cypress location and had a very bad experience in the food tasting tasting really bland, my sister invited me out to come eat so I came here and was a bit hesitant I and got chicken and beef after trying it it was way better than the Cypress location and the employee(Juan) helped me out answered every question I had with grate attitude and whent above and beyond with the service I ended getting lots of tendon in my meat and the juan game me extra with avocado for my troubles I am really happy this second experience was meet with this much attention and care. “Droubi's is the oldest Mediterranean place in houston from the 70's. I've been a customer since middle school & I am 42 today. It's Delicious, Authentic, & ALWAYS Affordable! Over 50 years and the same gentleman that owns Droubi's still runs it with his wife. Hats off & respect to both of them.“

“Nice romantic place for Lebanese/Mediterranean food. The food and drinks were good. I really enjoyed the Falafel, Phoenician fries & the Hummus. They were quite flavorful & fresh. I was not a fan of the Semolina Gnocchi. In my opinion, it was lacking flavor & spice. I did explain this to the waiter & they offered to replace it with another dish to my liking. We were very full & the dish was comped. Excellent service. The ambiance is excelled as well. Very romantic atmosphere. “Mary’z has been my favorite in Houston for Lebanese food. It is the closest thing I have found to what my Tita made. I went to the Richmond location today and ordered the grapeleaves, cabbage rolls, cucumbers with laban, fried kibbe, and ashta with bananas. The kibbe, as per the menu and in authentic form, is made with pine nuts inside. Well, there were no pine nuts, but instead there were almond slivers. I asked the waitress about it and she told ME to ask the “chief”. I imagine she meant the chef. After some conversation, she asked the chef for me and came back to the table and said it’s always walnuts. Well, that’s wrong because it used to be pine nuts and now it’s almond slivers. I’m not sure where walnuts came into the picture. I decided my question was not going to be answered by this waitress and chef. In my opinion, the only reasons to substitute pine nuts with almonds would be availability (we’re in Houston and they are available within a mile of this location) or they are too high (this is a restaurant, if the ingredients go up, raise the price, don’t scrimp). I frequent this restaurant for authenticity, not because it’s cheap. I probably won’t be back to the Richmond location. It was better before they rebuilt. I prefer the Washington location where I’ve never had any complaint. Please don’t substitute pine nuts with almonds…“
