“I have family in this town. Knowing my ancestry I was ask to go dine here. Was my second time in Houston but first time to enjoy it properly. Barcelona was no deception. I am often critical of native food overseas. Portions, atmosphere and even (although not tried this time) occasional great surprises; wine pairing is exceptional and from peers feedback, the cocktails did not disappoint either. B (our server) and the management courteous greetings are commendable. In addition, having a Valet P next door is a plus as this area is probably quite expensive to park otherwise. So yeah. I was impressed and annotate it for future visits.“

“If I could rate HIGHER than 5, I MOST definitely would. I visited Padre's Wine Shop for my 55th Birthday and couldn't ask for a better birthday experience.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The customer service and ambiance were superb.

The food was simply delicious (the Baked Oysters, pretzels, Wagyu Denver Steak, and popcorn must-tries), and my wines were wonderfully crispy and refreshing (I'm joining the wine club).

“I recently visited Neighbors Restaurant in Houston and had a mixed experience. The pizza was definitely tasty – the flavors were great and the crust was perfectly cooked. However, the service was incredibly slow, especially considering the pizza is potentially prepped in advance and shouldn’t take long to bring out. It was a bit frustrating waiting much longer than expected for a dish that seemed ready to serve.

While the food itself was good, the wait time definitely impacted the overall experience. I’d still consider coming back, but I hope the service speeds up next time.“

“LFM - Local Foods Market is a laid back place to get wines, pantry goods, and quick bites.

I went here to stock up on my Mama Teav’s Hot Garlic sauce. They have a lot of unique wines, spreads, dressings, and more!

The popular Graza Olive Oil ($13) seen all over Instagram food blogger pages and internet recipes is sold here, and it is reasonably priced and more affordable than HEB ($19)! They also have local goods here, such as chocolates from Mostly Chocolate, a Houston confectionery and chocolatier. Definitely stock up on your olive oil and other pantry goods here.

We also had their chocolate chip cookie; it was not too overly sweet, which I personally like, and had mini chocolate chips.

The staff were super friendly and parking was not too bad.

Overall, I really liked the different snack and condiment selections; they had a lot of cool things to try for recipes at home.“

“I have been to Anvil many times but always on a Sunday or Monday, but never been there on a Saturday, and let me tell you that it is a different animal on Saturdays ..... much much busier of course, but the age group changes completely ..... half of the folks there are around 25 if not younger .... while on Sundays or Mondays it is a different cup of tea all together.“

The owner and bar keeper are like family and served bbq shrimp on the counter for customers. I attended a memorial for an actor and it was just right. If it bothers you that the ceiling was leaking into a bucket this may not be your place but, for me and the others, no body seemed to notice.“

“First night in Houston and we were greeted with a hurricane warning. After checking into our hotel, we ventured out for dinner but found everything closed due to the impending weather. Returning to our hotel, we opted to dine at the hotel restaurant, Main Kitchen.

Despite the circumstances, the experience turned out to be delightful. We waited briefly for a table, and the manager, Patrick, personally seated us, apologizing for the short staff due to the weather. Our server promptly took our order, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food—it exceeded our expectations. The waitress was exceptionally friendly, and Patrick went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Overall, it was a wonderful and enjoyable dining experience, made even more impressive given the challenging conditions.“

“I went for a work dinner at this place and I ate vegetarian food. They definitely have options for vegetarians but it was not the best. Hence I am not giving 5 stars. The vibe of the place is good, location is great and they offer valet parking discount as well. Everyone knows Seasons 52, and I still recommend the place.“

“Popped in here this past weekend to try the wings for the first time. I ordered the 12 piece with half buffalo rain and was also recommended the spicy garlic parmesan. Both flavors were really good although neither were particularly spicy. It was a good mix of drums and flats. The drums didn't clean up great, but the flats were able to be picked pretty clean. They also offered both ranch and blue cheese.

Still, the wings had really good flavor and were pretty well sized. I would definitely go back to try some other flavors. The service was really good and all of the employees I dealt with were very friendly. The vibe of the place was also pretty solid and they had some music and football games going on Sunday afternoon.

“Don't let the unprepossessing exterior fool you. Lucio's is the real deal in fine dining! The interior is intimate and service is friendly and seamless. We loved the tuna, rack of lamb and mushroom soup. Everything was cooked to perfection and well worth the price. Valet parking is out front. Highly recommend!“

“This place is simply brilliant. It was my first time here with a party of 4. Occasion was parent’s birthday. The restaurant actually gave me a call to learn more about the occasion. When we arrived there they had the table set up with a handwritten card and confetti. Food was perfection. They were very observant. They knew we didn’t drink so they surprised us with bday dessert and toast. How thoughtful. Will visit again for all our birthdays. This restaurant management is brilliant, I would say.“
