“We were on our way from San Antonio to Fort Worth and in the mood for BBQ for lunch. Looked up on Google Maps a place for good BBQ on our route. We originally thought we’d stop at Buc-ee’s for a quick sandwich, so glad we decided to try somewhere else.We ordered the two meat plates each. Both of us got the ribs and one got the brisket and the other got the sausage. Side orders were the beans, potato salad and cooked cabbage. All three sides were over the top delicious. The meat was smoked excellent. Love when the meat falls off the bone. The BBQ sauce was phenomenal.Nabota “Bot” Hilliard & Drea we’re the most pleasant folks and helped us with our decisions to satisfy our taste.Highly recommend Hillard BBQ. It was the best choice we could’ve made.“
“For eating here the first time. recommended by a good friend. For moving to Bel Meade Texas this a a awesome place to eat. I recommend this for everyone to try. Great service great atmosphere and great hospitality. Removing from Springfield Illinois to Waco Texas this is the spot to enjoy fine Mexican cuisine. Thank you for everything los compadres. Kudo's on your restaurant. I recommend trying anything. A very nice employee's awesome service.Kid-friendliness: There isn't any kids that I would think of that wouldn't enjoy the food serviced here . Very delicious good presentation awesome service.“
“Food, Service, & Ambiance deserves 10 stars. You cannot go wrong with this food truck, holy moly it's my favorite. Everything is great, including the staff. Just don't expect a club sandwich hahaha I get a kick out of watching people walk away because they thought it was something else without looking at the menu first. Love y'all and happy to be a local!“
“Never had chicken and waffles before. Asked the owner what's up and she provided a brief history of the combination. I had to give it a try, had the spicy momma and my wife had the classy lady. Both were delicious and we are both new converts to the chicken and waffles following! Shamica was so nice a true breath of fresh air. Definitely recommend giving her food a try.“
“If you live in Waco and you haven't tried La Chona, you don't know what you have in town. I live in Fort Worth and I drive all the way there for their delicious and very authentic Mexican food.I've had, chiles rellenos, mole, sopes, tacos, and even the Semana Santa special food which was nopalitos con tortas de camarón. ???Eating here is like eating at my mom's. That good this place is!Best taquería in Waco without a doubt and the service is always excellent!!!5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“We had heard about Pop's lemonade from a campus tour guide and had to check it out! This is the best lemonade I have ever had. Lots of fused flavors to choose from and the staff was so friendly! If you choose to stay, it has an outdoor seating area.“
“Place is much more fun and comfortable than it sounds! Very down to earth, owner will come talk to you and explain their history and some of his favorite dishes if you haven't been before. They usually have off menu specials and will also try to accommodate your order. Food is very good with giant portions. The BBQ sauce is very tasty, tender brisket. We had the Mac Momma and Omar's Nachos. The sweet tea is DEFINITELY Texas style! Very sweet and delicious made in house. Would recommend again especially if you like brisket, cheese, and hearty dishes. Service was very good.“
“Very delicious food! My kids and I are from out of town & I told them you can never go wrong with a taco truck. I was not even wrong. Fresh hot delicious food, wonderful service and a nice safe little spot here. Definitely will come back when in the area Gracias!“
