“We were passing through Waco and stopped to try Big Ward's.This place serves very, very good BBQ. The pork and brisket are both excellent. The sides were are all delicious. The sauce is spot on - some sweet, some tang. We ended with Banana pudding and we loved it. The prices are very fair. This is everything you need in a BBQ spot. I wish there was a Big Ward's location in Atlanta, GA!“

“Just…wow. This is probably the best barbecue I’ve ever eaten. I came here because of the reviews and was not disappointed! From the friendly face at the counter to the speedy service and the delicious barbecue, there’s just no downside here. I ordered the brisket, sausage, green beans, and mac-n-cheese and you can see from the photos that it was a MOUND of food! But, I’m no quitter so I soldiered on until my plate was clean. Afterward, I inspected the cakes on the counter—they are all homemade and all looked incredible—but cooler heads prevailed and I declined to try them. Just another reason to come back! I hate I didn't get the employee's name but he was the ONLY one there working; he was taking orders and cooking the food all by himself. Long story short my son's high school basketball team was in town for a tourney and I suggested this place. We ordered 100 wings multiple flavors and sauces plus fries and he had everything prepared for us in less than 20 mins!! He provided plates and napkins and the boys absolutely loved the food!!! “Every place in town is trying to recreate what Nathan has done at In The Woods with his BBQ. The meats are fantastic and the sides are worthy of a meal in themselves. The presentation is on point and Nathan will take good care of you. My husband and I enjoyed a great conversation with Nathan and his daughter as well. A wonderful experience. Their sausages were what stuck out to me as the most flavorful and highest quality when compared to the others. If you're a fan of meat or BBQ in general, then come here! “Drove from Round Rock to meet up with family and get some get BBQ. It was our first visit but don't be our last! We arrived before the rest of our group and had a great conversation with the owner while we waited. He was extremely welcoming and friendly. I had the sausage and brisket with coleslaw and pinto beans...all very delicious. The prices are VERY reasonable, especially for BBQ. It's a simple and humble locale, but clean and hospitable. Definitely a great place to take the family, and was with the drive.“

“One of the highlights of my trip to Waco. A must visit if you want truly local. This guy (Papa) was the salt of the earth. Such a nice guy. A very humble man’s and a humble spot. It’s not a mainstream establishment and probably could use a touch of paint and a little tile on the floor. But hey, it’s the true experience. We absolutely loved it. We had three meat with potato salad and baked beans. I had beef, ribs and sausage. My wife had all beef. There was just one guy and he was handling all the drive through as well as dine in. “I ordered a hamburger and it was outstanding. It was around 1/2 pound with a flame grilled flavor. This reminded me of a home made burger because it was generous with the toppings. The pic doesn't do it justice. It's bigger than it looks. I recommend calling before visiting. This place is can be closed at random times. The menu is unorganized but that doesn't bother me when the food is very good.This is a local gem!“

He's very friendly, goes above and makes sure the food is good and if thereis anythingwe need. “While visiting Magnolia Market, we walked up on, "The Dog House." The name instantly caught my eye. So cute! My husband and I were intrigued, we never turn down a good meal. We ordered "The Popper" and "The Demo" to share. The staff member was so friendly. He was working as efficiently as possible with the amount of people who were in his line. We received our hot dogs after a few minute wait. Let's just say after we got to the table, it was love at first bite! Best hot dogs ever! The Dr. Pepper Chili is AMAZING! I could eat an entire bowl myself .“
“We were on our way from San Antonio to Fort Worth and in the mood for BBQ for lunch. Looked up on Google Maps a place for good BBQ on our route. We originally thought we’d stop at Buc-ee’s for a quick sandwich, so glad we decided to try somewhere else.We ordered the two meat plates each. Both of us got the ribs and one got the brisket and the other got the sausage. Side orders were the beans, potato salad and cooked cabbage. All three sides were over the top delicious.The meat was smoked excellent. Love when the meat falls off the bone.
