“5/5, we stopped in unexpectedly after visiting a park. It happened to be open around 2pm on a Sunday, so we stopped in for a to-go order. We got the brisket (so tender, so beefy and finally not too salty, perfect for saucing), pulled pork (absolutely perfect with their sauce, delicious), and smoked chicken (tender, juicy, peppery rub, delicious). We also had to try ALL the sides: the Mexican street corn was delicious, salty, and spicy, I'd like the corn to be a little sweeter but it was an easy 4/5; the smoked Mac and cheese was 8/5 Delicious and I think it had jalapeños in it but it wasn't spicy at all and it was surprisingly smokey; the jalapeño cole slaw was easily a 7/5 which is not easy to do for vole slaw, medium spicy and builds; the pinto beans were 4/5 Delicious not too salty, very peppery in the best way but you have to LOVE black pepper, which I do; the potato salad was cool and refreshing, slightly sweet and perfect with the other spicier sides. We also tried the smoked pecan cobbler and when I say RICH it is like 2 bites maximum RICH for me. You'll need to LOVE the smell of a campfire because that's what it takes like, absolutely delicious, I just need to share mine and maybe eat it on a biscuit. Highly recommend, everything is already made so it is fast service and super fast to pick up.“
“First, the service was excellent. The young king taking orders was very prompt and respectful. The food was amazing. I got the catfish with Mac & cheese & greens and was very impressed. I’m from Los Angeles and have been very unimpressed with the food scene in Killeen. I’ve never seen so many fast food establishments clustered on the streets. Many of the restaurants here have poor service AND subpar food. This place was the absolute best food I’ve had in Killeen, and I’m looking forward to going back and trying some of their other options. All my military people, check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Luis was our server while dining here at Hot Pot. He has been our server on one separate occasions in the past as well. He ensured that all our meat and vegetables needs were met. Unfortunately they serve Pepsi Products but needless to say our cups were always full. It’s the food and atmosphere that bring us to the place but it’s the service that we were provided by Luis that keeps us. Will be returning again soon.“
“Great food and customer service. If you check out the menu, you can see the theme of the restaurant. I ordered the Poly Plate. This plate includes 2 meats and 2 sides. I chose ribs and brisket and mac & cheese and greens and it was so good! I felt like I recieved a plate off grill from a family holiday cook out. Only thing is once they sell out, it is gone so make sure you plan accordingly. This restaurant also has a variety of desserts like peach cobbler and banana pudding and kool aid as well.“
“The staff goes out of their way to make sure you’ve got everything you need and that you’re happy with your food and come around the restaurant many times in case you may need something during your visit. We were there during a very large event and were still very well taken care of by staff. We never felt ignored.Wheelchair accessibility: There are quite a few parking spots for handicap people. There’s a nice entrance to pull up to before parking to unload people with extra needs with a covered section. The doors open wide enough for a wheelchair to enter easily. There are tables that can accommodate a wheelchair as well.“
“After not dining in Roadhouse for a few years, I decided to stop in and have a steak dinner. I surprisingly didn't have a long wait on a busy night. The hostess seated me in a great spot with tv's in perfect view. My waiter came over really quick and took my drink order. It came out really fast and was really good. My waiter then took my order and said it should be out shortly, and it was! One area that has gotten a lot better is the service. Although my steak was a little on the small side, it was cooked perfectly! It was exactly how I wanted it, and it tasted amazing. My loaded mash and the dinner rolls with that butter didn't disappoint and honestly has never let me down. However, my mac n cheese was not at all pleasant at all. I wasn't feeling that at all. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I would return.“
“Randomly decided to pull in here when passing and I do not regret my decision. Perry’s did not disappoint.Not only is this food AMAZING (sorry I couldn’t take a picture, ate it too fast) but so was the customer service. I was very impressed with the size of the sandwich and sides for the price.One thing you do not see many places in Killeen is a clean and sanitary environment. You can see into the kitchen when ordering and it is clean as well as the entire restaurant which is a major plus.I will be back time and time again. I have found a new favorite place.“
“Service here is always friendly. Sometimes they don't come by your table as often as you might want, but usually they are great. Food is decent, but brisket can sometimes be too dry. The baked potatoes with meat is extremely filling and good.“
“Hidden gem. Tried this place a couple days ago after being recommended by a client. I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. I had the ribs, yams and Mac and cheese with cornbread. I was impressed. Ribs was tasted great, just wished I had more meat but for the price I was satisfied. Mac and cheese was good, not the best but no major complaints. Yams was on point. Cornbread was just ok. Service was nice. The atmosphere was ok. I mean its a small place, mom and pop shop feel. But it was clean. I would recommend this place“
“If the cook would marry me I would say yes! Enough said: the food quality is beyond amazing. I love the perfection in the seasoning this is a true thing for me without the right seasonings your food is nothing. I have no complaints this food is quality and precisely what I needed when I think of sweet home Alabama food and family. I would suggest adding Pepsi and or Root-beer but no koolaid and no sweet tea just broke my great“
“First of all food was amazing ! Staff greets you and smiles just like any traditional Texas spot. We are visiting from Houston to watch the Solar Eclipse and enjoyed ourselves some good lunch here. Definitely recommend making a stop here. We got the brisket and pulled pork with mac n cheese and potato salad with a baked potato. “
“Must Try!! If you're looking for a spot that great BBQ and great sides. I got 2lbs of brisket; (32oz) Mac and cheese, and greens; 8oz seasoned potatoes, and a pulled chicken sandwich. Serving my family of 5. We're very happy and satisfied. Most definitely will be back! ?“
