“Bill's is an excellent grill with that old-time atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. It's right across the street from the VA, so the crowd is mostly veterans. All around, it's a great bunch of people.“
“My experience at Fat Boys BBQ was nothing short of exceptional! While passing through on a business trip, I randomly decided to stop by, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel like family. Now, let's talk about their Chip Brisket Sandwich - it was an absolute game-changer! The tender, juicy brisket paired perfectly with the crunch of the chips, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. Each bite was a delightful experience, and I found myself savoring every moment. What truly sets Fat Boys BBQ apart is not just the outstanding food, but also the passion and dedication of the family behind it. You can taste the love and pride they put into every dish they serve. It's no wonder they've earned awards for their Texas-style Championship BBQ.Whether you're a local or just passing through like me, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Fat Boys BBQ. You won't regret it!“
“This was my first time coming here and I tried it cause it was a 4.7 star. To me I think it's a 5 star. It's so good and the Mac and cheese was homemade I could tell. All the noodles in the Mac and cheese was all cooked well. And goodness the brisket is so delicious. I can make a sandwich out of it. I ordered the trash can cup. It comes with beans, brisket, chopped up sausage and they ask you if you want onions and pickles. I recommend getting the onions and pickles if you like those and then once they put them on they put their BBQ sauce on top and you mix it altogether ????. If it's your first time going here I'd get the trash cup cause it's not that big and it gives you an idea of how their BBQ tastes which is excellent ??.“
“The Hunicutt's are all Veterans and they terrific people. The BBQ is behind the bar and is only open from Thursday to Sunday. I'm not sure about the hours but the 'Pit master is just that, a Master indeed.I always visit when driving from Abilene to Temple TX!“
“We dined here during a stay (we are from the UK) and were looked-after by Marlee, great food and service- especially for the children who were still a little jet-lagged. Would definitely recommend for travellers & families.Kid-friendliness: Were great with ours, who were tired and a bit grumpy (before!)“
“Can't beat this place for quality meats at a fair price. I love the $55 pack. I get lots of stuff. They've been serving Temple for decades and I hope they are around for many more years. Maybe my favorite store in all of Temple Land.“

“We came to Clems after seeing it online while we were here from Iowa for a show. 10 out of 10 ! The food was absolutely great and the service was fantastic. Our drinks were always filled quickly My Son , Husband and I all had steaks of some sort and WOW they were some of the best restaurant steaks we have ever eaten! When we are in the area again we will definitely be back !! Thanks Clem Mikeska's Bar-B-Q for the amazing experience“
“One of the 2019 Texas Monthly interim top 25 'cue joints-- and still worthy of a spot today! This was our 98th BBQ stop in Texas, and the 397th on a 35 state BBQ odyssey. $25.71 purchased a quarter pound of fatty brisket, a jalapeno cheddar sausage link, sides of elote (cold) and jalapeno apple coleslaw, with two refillable iced teas. Everything was top notch. The well-smoked brisket featured the classic central Texas rub, and was so buttery that you could cut it with a fork. The sausage was beautifully balanced, and both sides paired well with the meats; indeed, we judged the coleslaw a “must do” side. In sum, this is what we style “destination 'cue.” Just be sure to check their facebook page to guarantee that they will be opening as scheduled (they also cater).Parking: Gravel approach from the highway to a gravel parking lot.“
