“We eat here several times a month. The staff is amazing. The food is usually great, and I'd give them 5 stars except for one problem - what you better do is watch how much meat they give you - especially for the sandwiches. They used to be great. In the past month we've noticed they're under weighing the meat & still charging the full price for a quarter / half pound. This is especially noticeable with the sandwiches - a half pound sandwich is very rarely half pound anymore (we've seen .35 lbs, .41lbs). We first noticed it when they started using smaller or fewer sausage links, & fewer brisket & turkey slices & even less in their ranch hand which used to be filled to the top, and now barely fills the container. When confronted about this, their response was we go by the weight, not the size. Fine. Now we've been paying attention to the weight... and they do NOT go by the weight. Watch them and correct them if you see you're receiving less than advertised weight.Honestly I do not mind if you give me less meat than advertised - but you sure better discount the price to reflect that, and that's not happening.Wheelchair accessibility: good accessibility“

“I've only had this delivered so I can't comment on the staff or the inside establishment. What I will say is that this place is good.....DANGEROUSLY good. I got the potatoes with brisket, lemon pepper wings and Mac and cheese. Those lemon pepper wings are the best I've ever had and that potatoe dish is straight fire. Mac and cheese is good, but pretty on par with most restaurants. As good as this place is, I've only ordered once. This place is just too good, I will be ordering from here for special occasions or if I want to treat myself for doing something good or accomplishing something. If I made this a regular thing, I'd end up on that show My 600lb Life. This to me is like fair food, good on special occasions but you can't make a habit out of it (well, you can, but i hope you have a great metabolism). I'll be ordering within the next week because I earned it but then I'll have to wait a while until I deserve it lol. I hear this is a black owned business which makes me love it more, they're doing fantastic work and I hope this place is successful and stays open. If not....they better get a food truck or figure something out because food this good needs to be shared with the world....in moderation?.So happy this establishment is in Pflugerville, go check them out. Your scale may regret it, but your stomach will not! Sooooo good!!!! Also, don't let the prices scare you off, they are generous with those portions! It took me 2 days to finish the potato dish, and I ordered a regular size portion. This is definitely my new "treat myself' spot!!“
“Had lunch today at DST BBQ. Enjoyed the potato salad especially(since I am not a potato salad guy). Ribs were some of the best I have had after sampling over 50 Central Tx BBQ's. Brisket was tender and had delicious bark as did the ribs. Also tasted collard greens, beans and corn. All were worth going back for on another visit. Rico, I will be seeing you again.“
“My sis found this gem when I was looking to get some BBQ to go. I initially thought it was cash only, but it appears they do take cards. The highlights here is the brisket. Well flavored, moist was definitely on point and decent rub. The cream corn was definitely creamy with whole kernels, the beans are ranch style. The chopped meat is also satisfying. The weakest point was sausage, which I believe was just store bought, so I would opt for other options. They were out of potato salad since we arrived on the last hour. I would definitely come back for the brisket again.“

“I HIGHLY recommend Ambur Fire! I use to go grab a burger here every Thursday when I lived in round rock. It got to the point where they know my name! The burgers are the best I’ve ever had! “We ordered Smokey Mo's to feed the Cedar Ridge band several times this season -- it was the biggest hit, by far! Everything about my experience with them was outstanding: ordering, pricing, communication, timeliness, packaging, and most of all TASTINESS! “First off, let me start by saying, as I walked up there was a customer at the window. Based on the convo he is a regular. The owner(I’m assuming) handed him a bag of food and said, “here take this home so you have dinner too.” Thoughtful people always a plus in my book.As for the food and this is strictly my opinion. The Cole slaw was a little different for me but good. I ate it all. I can’t pinpoint why it was different. The brisket and sausage has flavor where bbq sauce isn’t needed but I used it anyway. I did feel like Mac and cheese could have been creamier. Again, I ate all of the Mac and cheese just prefer it more creamy. Everyone has their own preference so please come try for yourself. Great outdoor sitting area plus awesome customer service.“
