“We hosted our rehearsal dinner at 17th South, and they went above and beyond! From the very beginning, the team was incredibly thoughtful and detail-oriented, they even visited our wedding website and surprised us by using our custom wedding logo on the menus. They also replicated our exact signature drink menu and were not only on board, but excited when I asked if I/we could decorate the space to match our Roaring 20s theme. Upon being seated, they even turned on a 20s Big Band playlist! They remembered details!

Everything looked stunning, the service was seamless, and our guests were so impressed. On top of that, the event minimum was extremely affordable for the level of service and quality we received. I can’t recommend 17th South enough for anyone looking to host a special event they made our night absolutely unforgettable! Also the portion sizes were OUT OF THIS WORLD. 10/10 experience. “Came to O’Briens today after seeing ads on Facebook of their “SHEPHERDS PIE”. First and foremost the bartender Shelby is an amazing bartender/server & very knowledgeable of everything o’Briens related. The atmosphere is very relaxed and right now is the Christmas season so it was very season festive. Now the food…. Let me tell you THE FOOD IS AMAZEBALLS!!! Shepherd pie or really they told me it’s actually called Cottage pie is perfect for the upcoming cold months ahead with ground beef and potatoes flavored to the nines. The pizza was something I did not expect to be as good as it was in an Irish pub but here we are and my tastebuds were just taken on a vacation. Definitely stop by O’Briens for some really good food. I’m not a drinker but have beer and drinks to last a lifetime.“

“We loved our wine tasting in this cabin with lovely trees around it and a cute cat. The winery employee was so welcoming and helpful in explaining the wines. By getting two tastings we tried nearly everything they had on the menu.
It's a quick walk to the sculpture park and antique & book shop. We're looking forward to going back again.“

“This is a hidden gem in Salado TX. We enjoy the atmosphere, the beer & wine, but their Sangria and Rose Slushies are the bomb. Last night around 630 pm the kitchen was very slow. I noticed two cooks. The two female cashiers were going back and forth about one of them clocking out and one clocking in while in front of a long line of customers. It was pretty sad to see there was no effort to work together but rather ignore each other's requests for assistance. That was a new instance and hopefully not the norm. But the cashier waited patiently to leave while the other girl took her sweet time taking over the cashier. She mentioned she had worked since 8 am and was owed an hr break. Not sure. Just wanted to let management know. The bartenders side seemed to be fine and handled a rush well. 💪🏽“

“My guy and I stumbled across this place after hanging out at the Railroad Museum. Fell in love instantly! We sat at the bar. The layout was comfortable, the ordering system (computer) was unique to us but I loved the way we could choose, back up and go forward in all the areas. (Also, we didn't need our cheaters!) The food was delicious! My mushroom burger made me swoon! The grilled corn was out of this world and I am going to try later today to see if I can even come close! The fried green tomatoes were a hit and my guy really liked the polish sausage(?) with the chili topping. The beer was great! We settled on the IPA with the word grackle in it - sorry can't remember it exactly. We were so impressed (we were visiting from New England) that we went back the next day to watch the Patriots game and were surrounded by football fans that were fun to talk with and we stayed for a Dallas game afterwards. LOVED EVERY MINUTE WE WERE THERE! The bartender (s) were fun and easy to talk to. We tipped them well!“

“We went tonight for my son’s birthday and the cook/entertainer was the WORST. He barely spoke and when he did it was mumbled. He lit an onion stack on fire but other than that there was zero show. The only “show” was him cooking the food. We looked around at other tables and it was 💯 better than our experience. He never acknowledged my son’s birthday or made any extra effort whatsoever. It was such a disappointing experience. I will say that our server was AMAZING. He was super sweet and took great care of our table. The food was delicious and the portions were more than enough. If this was a typical restaurant it would have been a good night but the expectation of something extra definitely wasn’t met.“
