“The sausage and cheese kolaches are near perfect. The glazed donuts are. When I drive up, I see a young boy gazing out the window (see photo). As I walk in, I realize he works there. He greets me and asks what I want. He is quick to serve the food and heats it up without asking. I hate shops that ask if I want my kolaches heated. As I leave he tells me not to work too hard. That's two days this week. How dare he? Anyways, I just need a window to sit at for the rest of the day.“

“Grew up in Brenham and moved away when I was 18. My mom would take us to Max Donuts whenever we passed tests in school. Every time we visit I look forward to stopping by Max Donuts and I always recommend people go there that are visiting! Best donuts I’ve ever had!“
