I'm now addicted to the recommendation she gave me (iced pink velet macchiato with sweet cold foam) and I get it every chance I can. “It’s hard to find a donut shop that sells savory kolache without meat. This place has egg and cheese along with others! So they have some ovo-lacto veggie foods. Highly recommended. Of coarse they have ham too if you want that. Owners very welcoming.“

“My hubs stops here for breakfast headed out to work. He recommended it to me.........I will pass every single donut shop to go here and get my breakfast! We got a dozen sprinkled donuts, a buttermilk donut, a dozen iced sprinkled donut holes, 2 sausage egg and cheese biscuits and a ham egg and cheese crossaint (havent got to that yet, bc everything was so good so far lol) and chocolate and strawberry milks!!! 10/10 recommend. Absolutely delicious and the staff is fast, efficient and friendly. Even with it being busy! New fav spot!“

“This donut shop has a secret weapon - their cronuts! They are so flaky and delicious! Their croissant sandwiches, kolaches, and apple fritters are also delicious. The service is excellent and they are very kind, optimistic people. I only wish they would better stock their food (always out of cronuts and do not remake until the next day, and have items on the menu that they don't actually offer).“

“Their donuts are good and still have a fresh taste the next day. Their eclair bars are delicious. They have them topped with chocolate or maple icing. They also have filled donuts - Bavarian cream, chocolate, strawberry and I can't remember the other option. Their glaze donuts are nice and light. “Still great after all these years. I used to stop here every Sunday morning after kids completed their volunteer work at Animal Rescue. The bag of donut holes never made it to the house, but the Kolaches and fresh donuts were something we looked forward to enjoying. We were most fond of the amazing Apple Fritters and Bavarian Cream filled. Old fashion buttermik were regular hit too. Guess what, 15-20 years later, under new ownership, they are still great. If you're in the area I strongly recommend this place - especially if you can make it real early! Plenty of kid friendly colorful sprinkle selections too!“

“Family owned and operated business with heart and soul. They open early at 4:30am which is great for us early morning people, or those all night study sessions that usually end with breakfast. I arrived at 4:15am and she let me in early today 😁. I got first pick of the bunch and everything smelled so good. As usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, but I tried one of every type of kolache the offer. They were all perfect!!! I also grabbed an apple fritter. Now I'm not one that usually buys apple fritters, but these ones looked exceptionally delicious this morning. Maybe it was the the way the light was reflecting of the crystallized sugar, but it looked as if a thousand tiny diamonds had been crushed and scattered across a landscape of epic golden cinnamon spiced peaks.“

“I go to Shipley's all over North Houston a lot and this one is the best by far. Not only is the manager and staff super kind and attentive and awesome. But their filling in taste and quantity is superb to all other Shipley's that I have been to. I can only speak to the white cream filled because that's what I always get and at this Tomball Shipley's you won't be disappointed if you like the cream filled. It is always so full of delicious white cream filling that it's on the verge of too much. (Although there's no such thing as too much cream filling.) They certainly don't skimp like other Shipley's. some of them Ive even quit patronizing because they always skimp on filling...and it's not just an accidental underfilling- it's every visit at the 1960/kuykendhal one. You should not be left with several bites and no filling to go with them as some Shipley's do. . At the Tomball Shipley's you will have plenty of filling in every last bite. Every time. If that matters to you then this is your donut spot.“

“All the workers minus one are very nice. There is a big overweight man who always has an attitude and is not respectful at all, even when you try to be extra nice for his benefit. He makes me feel unwelcome and yanks money out of my hand. Today, I had to tell him not to do it again. For this reason, I gave service 1 star. He needs to change his attitude. A person working in service can not act that way if they want people's business.“
