Everyone has their favorite local spot in Brownsville like this one--but Torito takes the cake for me. Huge tacos, breakfast and lunch specials that are pure comfort on a plate, and friendly staff who remember you the next time you come in. Remember to bring cash.
This restaurant and the one located at the Magnuson hotel are fantastic. Their food is made with love and care. The tampiqueña plate is awesome and the caldo de pollo and caldo de res reminds me of my grandmas cuisine. I truly recommend this place for lunch and breakfast. In the morning their tacos and omelette are out of this world!!
