“We hosted a Celebration of Life at BJ's Brewhouse, Hwy 281 N. Could not have been more satisfied with the atmosphere, service, and especially the food. There were 80 of us with the Pizza and Salad Buffet. EVERYBODY there remarked how wonderful how wonderful the pizza and service were. I've heard terms like "never had pizza this good", "the service was excellent", "wonderful place." I highly recommend this particular location for events. EXCELLENT.“

“We took our 9 yr old with some friends for his birthday and the staff was phenomenal! Every single staff member we came in contact with went above and beyond for us. (Note: We did not book a party, we just walked in and free played) I tried to remember names, and I know I forgot some, but the ones I can remember are: Ariel - helped us figure out the best bang for our buck and so friendly! Any questions I had, she answered. Skye - she was great with the kids in laser tag and the prize area. So helpful. James - the kids were waiting for us to finish the transaction and he was helping them do some free play with the games. Right off the bat great service from the time we walked in until we left. Another time James was so helpful was with the ropes course - 2/4 kids were not having it. He tried to convince them they were okay and he wouldn’t let them fall but also let them know they didn’t have to do it if they didn’t want to and helped them back down to the floor. He also had a partner in the ropes course but I forgot his name. He was so nice and polite! James also gave a little gift to my child. Made his day (and ours!!). Ivan - we had an issue with a game and a prize getting stuck. He came over right away and helped and asked if there was anything else he could do for us. Kelvin - he was our waiter in the Bowling area. He was so friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. Helped me with choices on the menu. Great fella! Again, we cannot get over how friendly as well as above and beyond the staff is at Main Event on 1604 & 281! Thank you for making our day! We will definitely be back!!“

While there are lots of fried fish places... that I offer a fine selection of previously frozen/Sysco fish (you know who you are) – Fresh fish at a reasonable price is hard to come by without paying an arm and a leg here in the Alamo city. Well, we found it! The price point is pretty reasonable and the selection is excellent. The fish is very fresh and the preparation is on point! The service was top-notch – (Delilah made our Valentine's dinner perfect) – we will definitely be going back again... Highly recommend this restaurant. “

The red fish and baby scallops ceviche was so fresh, the brie bruschetta was amazing with a great flavor mix from the tomato-pepper marmelade, I had the quail with chorizo grits and black beans, what a delicous combination! And my husband had the lamb with mint and goat mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus: this was like fireworks in your mouth! We drove pass the resteraunt w/o noticing it...but luckily we did because there was a chicken fried steak of the gods wheel barrelled over to our table and dumped onto plates....i was so glad to finally make the non camping gf happy! “First time eating here although we've been driving by for years. I thought it was strictly a drive through restaurant until I saw someone recommend it as having great, freshly made salsa and good authentic Mexican food. Decided to stop and try it one day on our way into town and it did not dissapoint. The salsa was fresh and excellent, as were the chips and the food was authentic and very good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is quiet and quaint. Will definitely be back. This place is a hidden gem.“

“The only regret I have is not living closer so I can be here more often! Before I even ordered food, the service was impeccable. My card was compromised at 5am Sunday and although I opted to wait until Monday morning to deal with it, the bank put a hold on my account, rightfully so. They were so patient as I dealt with trying to transfer funds to another account and even started on my order so when it would be ready by the time I completed payment. By the time I made payment, food was packed and hot! We were so hungry, we decided to eat it there. We had no problem eating it in our to go boxes, but they insisted on putting it on plates. The food was amazing! Best Thai food I've ever had here in town. I'm so grateful for a restaurant that has food that aligns with their service and values. We can't wait to return!“

“I like this place. I'd been to a location once before and thought it would be a good place to take my son who wanted pancakes. I remembered there being more choices for restricted diets, but I did eventually find something I could eat and enjoyed it. My son loved his pineapple upside down pancakes and that's really all that mattered to me.“

“I’ve been wanting to visit the distillery for nearly a decade after trying Rebecca creek while living in Alabama. Ive now been in VA for 5 years and can’t get Rebecca creek in our state. We visited Texas last week and decided to drive by the distillery for a picture while it was closed (we didn’t have time to swing by during open hours due to a tight trip itinerary). I noticed the office was open so we went in and said hello to Ashley at the front desk.

She went ABOVE AND BEYOND and took us on our own little private tasting and tour of the distillery. She helped me purchase special edition bottles and merchandise for us to take back home to VA. She was so warm & welcoming. We were not expecting this at all and it seriously made my entire trip!

Series company gold stars for her hospitality. We can’t wait to come back sometime and get to enjoy the place while open.“
