“First time trying this restaurant. My long time favorite closed so tried this one and the service was fast and excellent. Food was also really good I tried several different entrees and sides and each had really good flavors. I have leftovers...yay! This is a place that will be my new go to for Thai cuisine.“

“We have been eating at the Thai Restaurant for nearly twenty years, through four owners. We really have to say that the current owner has better food and service than the any of the previous owners. My husband always orders the green curry, which is just spicy enough for him, whether he asks for a 6 or 10 on the spicy scale. I try to order different plates, from the Pad Thai, which is always delicious with nice, firm noodles, to the Basil Fish, which is a fresh tilapia filet with lots of fresh stir-fried veggies. Everything is always fresh and clean. And the service is great, fast, efficient and very nice. We highly recommend the Thai Restaurant, for lunch or dinner, or both!“

“We are extremely picky on our Thai food. We happened to be on the side of town to try a new place.

Ordered the staples, pad thai, massamam curry, and mango sticky rice as some of the dishes.

All were legit. Every dish was made well and tasted authentic. Service was great, everyone was kind and chatty.

Wife said the mango sticky rice was the best she'd ever had.

Place was clean. When Thai families go eat at a Thai place thats a very good sign.

Place was clean and intentional.

“Absolutely amazing food! Everything we tried at J.B Mon Thai & Asian Cuisine was delicious and tasted incredibly authentic. The food came out hot, fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor.

We tried the Sesame Chicken and Pad Thai, and both were amazing. The noodles were especially delicious, and the sesame chicken was crispy and very flavorful. We also had the cheese egg rolls, which were delicious and perfectly crispy.

Another thing that really stood out was the portion size. They give you very generous portions, you definitely get a lot of great food for your money!

We also tried their authentic Thai tea, and it was excellent. Overall, everything was on point: great flavors, fresh food, large portions, and a wonderful experience.

We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious, authentic Thai food!

My card was compromised at 5am Sunday and although I opted to wait until Monday morning to deal with it, the bank put a hold on my account, rightfully so. They were so patient as I dealt with trying to transfer funds to another account and even started on my order so when it would be ready by the time I completed payment. By the time I made payment, food was packed and hot! We were so hungry, we decided to eat it there. We had no problem eating it in our to go boxes, but they insisted on putting it on plates. “Baan Thai is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. We even know our waitress by now, which says everything about the kind of place this is.

The food is incredible every single time. The pad thai and pad kee mow are both must-orders, and the red Thai curry is rich and perfectly spiced. Save room for the mango sticky rice and Thai tea — honestly the best way to end a meal here.

“We went to Lemongrass Thai as a group of four, including a brand-new BMT grad we were treating to lunch, and this place made the occasion. Four people, everything delicious, $65 before tip. In San Antonio in 2026, that kind of value is almost hard to believe. I went with the Thai sweet and sour chicken at 3-spice — the heat was spot on, enough to know it's there without overwhelming the dish. The ginger dressing on the salad was a highlight in its own right. Portions were generous across the board; nobody left hungry. Our server Roy was a standout. A 23-year-old Army vet with great energy and a genuine interest in our BMT grad's next steps — he took time to share real, firsthand military career advice that meant a lot. “The best Thai available near the river walk. The staff here is quite friendly and attentive, far more than the somewhat local competitor off of Broadway.

Their take in wonton soup is both refreshing and has proper options for cup or bowl, something not offered at their closest competition. Thai Basil or, Pad Kra Pow (Ka-Prow on Fire, on their menu) is an excellent classic served sizzling hot with great flavor and great portions for the cost.

Unlike their competitor, food orders are correct, staff is friendly and not as recalcitrant as their competitor when it becomes busy.

The foods here were served hot, properly portioned and of quality their nearby competitor can't match. It's worth the walk away from the river walk, for some tasty, properly spicy and fragrant Thai food.“

“​I had never ordered from Noods Mexican-Asian Fusion (located at the Lombrano Food Hall) before, and I completely misunderstood the menu options when placing my order. When my food arrived, it wasn’t what I wanted or how I thought I had selected it—entirely on my end!
​I called them up to explain that I had misread the menu and asked if there was any way the order could be corrected. Without hesitation, they were incredibly understanding and agreed to completely remake my order exactly how I wanted it.
​That level of customer service is so rare these days and speaks volumes about how they care for their customers. To top it off, when I got the corrected order, the food was absolutely delicious! The fusion of flavors is spot on.
