“We have been eating at the Thai Restaurant for nearly twenty years, through four owners. We really have to say that the current owner has better food and service than the any of the previous owners. My husband always orders the green curry, which is just spicy enough for him, whether he asks for a 6 or 10 on the spicy scale. I try to order different plates, from the Pad Thai, which is always delicious with nice, firm noodles, to the Basil Fish, which is a fresh tilapia filet with lots of fresh stir-fried veggies. Everything is always fresh and clean. And the service is great, fast, efficient and very nice. We highly recommend the Thai Restaurant, for lunch or dinner, or both!“

The food is incredible every single time. The pad thai and pad kee mow are both must-orders, and the red Thai curry is rich and perfectly spiced. Save room for the mango sticky rice and Thai tea — honestly the best way to end a meal here.

“They're...back! With a smile and gratitude on their faces. It was wonderful to see them both the man and the woman serving great Thai food again. They moved their truck from where it was by the building to the block where all the other food trucks are. She's always so generous with water to all the customers but on this day today she gave us complimentary three Thai teas and charged us for one. The food was excellent as always and highly recommend especially if you dont like pad Thai before like me but after I went to Thailand and then came back here it's only one I've really liked. We usually get the Thai fried rice, orange chicken and pad Thai with the Thai teas. Excellent and highly recommended!“

“The only regret I have is not living closer so I can be here more often! Before I even ordered food, the service was impeccable. My card was compromised at 5am Sunday and although I opted to wait until Monday morning to deal with it, the bank put a hold on my account, rightfully so. They were so patient as I dealt with trying to transfer funds to another account and even started on my order so when it would be ready by the time I completed payment. By the time I made payment, food was packed and hot! We were so hungry, we decided to eat it there. We had no problem eating it in our to go boxes, but they insisted on putting it on plates. “The pad Thai, at first was a little bland. But as you can see from the comment I made in te video. However, you’ll notice the portion size is quite large and the sauce kind of sunk to the bottom. Once I mixed it up, it was really good.

I brought home Tom Kha soup and Red Curry Beef. These were a little disappointing. Both were just thinner than a really good version of either. The flavor on the red curry was just a little watered down tasting. That’s the reason for the 4 star review instead of five.“

In San Antonio in 2026, that kind of value is almost hard to believe. I went with the Thai sweet and sour chicken at 3-spice — the heat was spot on, enough to know it's there without overwhelming the dish. The ginger dressing on the salad was a highlight in its own right. Portions were generous across the board; nobody left hungry. Our server Roy was a standout. A 23-year-old Army vet with great energy and a genuine interest in our BMT grad's next steps — he took time to share real, firsthand military career advice that meant a lot. Another diner at the restaurant had recommended the duck and our grad went for it. Smart call — it was a hit. That kind of warmth, from the staff and even fellow diners, is what makes a meal stick with you. Lemongrass Thai is the kind of neighborhood spot that earns loyal regulars. Highly recommend.“

“Everytime I come here, which is as often as I would like, it never disappoints! I could die happily eating any of their curry dishes for the rest of my life, anything else on their menu is just as lovely. I happened to take a photo this time, I had the crimson curry with a level four spice(the one closet to the camera) and my dad had their vermicelli noodles with a level three spice. Definitely recommended the vermicelli noodles though on these hot humid days“
