Soul Shack offers a fine dining experience with the best atmosphere, food, service, and music. The ambiance is amazing, featuring TVs playing shows from the 90s and early 00s and options for a DJ and live music. The staff is an awesome team of professionals who are very welcoming and friendly. Service is superb, with staff promptly addressing any issues. The restaurant takes dietary restrictions seriously.
The food is great with unique offerings and surprising portions for the price. Menu items include the soul roll appetizer, jerk chicken, greens, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, sweet potato cornbread, chicken pot stickers, short ribs over rice, smothered chicken over rice, oxtails, salmon and potatoes, lamb chops, salad, wings, and chicken and waffles. The cocktails are creative, strong, and made to perfection. Some notes mention the food can be a bit greasy or heavy. Parking is located in the southwest suburbs, though it can be hard to find during busy times. It provides great value and a great experience.
